Re a more powerful name, Signe (my dog) and I know a Fenrir - named for the huge monster wolf in Norse mythology that kills the god Odin at Ragnarök, the end of the world. Only this Fenrir is a mini schnauzer like Signe, and very friendly. We also know a mixed-breed terrier named Rambo. ;)

Awwww they are cuuutieeees! I simply don't never know how to name my pets. And when they have a name they are always 'sweetie, love, baby, etc.' But the name Alfred sounds really good.

Thanks, Crissi! It was actually my great-grandmother's name, she was Signe Matilda. :) And the the first time I met my dog (when she was a wee pup of five weeks - smallest and cutest thing I ever saw), she looked just like a little Signe - so Signe it was.

I somehow missed that Tanja is from Germany - very sorry about that! Yeah, I guess that would be much like a Scandinavian naming their dog Breivik... :/
