Hi Kyrie :D

Here are a few roof tutorial links for you :D

Carl's Guides are where I start:  Carl's Roof Guide

SimsVIP Building Guide - everything :D: Building Guide

The Sims Supply (YouTube): Roofing Tips

lilsimsie (YouTube):  How to Build Roofs - Builder's Bible Roofing

Hopefully, one of these will help - I've seen them all, by the way :D

I played since TS1 and I mostly played the game. I didn't become really good at building and designing homes until TS3. Now, that's all I ever do because TS4 gameplay has so many problems with CC whenever I update it. I use the show, Fixer Upper, as my inspiration and I've had a lot of people in the past tell me I should put speed creations on YouTube. Maybe one day...

I LOVE to decorate way more then game play. But then I get a wild hair and start playing. I have one sim I've been playing for a while trying to complete all the collections, aspirations, and jobs. Then I go on a mini hiatus and always miss the Easter eggs- never fails! pull hair out

Definitely an all things sort of gal. The EP's and everything make sims 4 so much more enjoyable so that's why I enjoy playing. Also challenges make it so much more refreshing. And of course the cc makes creating sims/rooms so much fun/.

Both. I wish I was into playing as much as decorating, but as I've got older it's definitely changed.

I love both but by the time I'm done decorating, I take a break from sims and then go back to play only to not like the house I had just built.

Bring on the cc, I can't get enough.  I love to build, decorate and landscape to my hearts content.  I have so much cc my find feature in the game crashes if I try to use it LOL.  I will play (cheat like there is no tomorrow) when a new game or expansion comes out. Not a real player, it takes too long to get anything done. :christmas2017_  (Christmas llama)

being a clutter addict, I got tired of the sims running into stuff and yelling that they couldn't get by, lol, so I mostly build and decorate. I play 4 now, and will sometimes play.

Mostly, I build for show and not play - I so get what you're saying, Pam! giggle

When I build for others (playable lots), I have to get my son and other player friends to test the lots for me! :rofl301:

I try to play without cc, yeah, that doesn't work. As if by magic, cc starts to creep into my game and before the sims know it they can't move through the clutter. (Doesn't everyone need a grand piano in there bathroom?) NewY4

I love to play, decorate, and download CC -- but my true passion is building. I wanted to be an architect when I was a kid and designing houses on the Sims still scratches that itch for me!

I hope you get a chance to get Sims 3, it is made for builders. You can "color" to your heart content.  Also, great cc is out there danceG

I am more of a builder. I like to create sims, recreate homes or buildings from google search, or do townie makeovers. I do try to play some but I get bored or overwhelmed by the toddlers and all the needs of a large family. I will say I have been working on re-creating every sims world which means I have bulldozed every lot to create a whole new vibe in the world.

That is so cool..I used to play from the time I got up till I went to bed..which sometimes was an all nighter player lol..

Now I have learned to recolor sort of lol..that I haven't had time to play and I am going to have to set a day or two just for the playing..I really miss that part of the Sims2..

Definitely a player but I also love to decorate. The one thing that I struggle with is landscaping but I think I am getting a bit better!

Player. But I've been on this kick of wanting to "set up" my town. So I make characters and style the houses so I can have the town set up the way I want it. So I've been finding myself spending a lot of time in CAS or building.

I stopped playing 4 years ago, I was a big Sims3 fan but then my big love was to build so I concentrated myself in building houses for others, I still build and create objects for the players. But sometimes I like to go in Sims3 and go in the Seasons EP, my favourite. :-)
