Hi All,

I just read the thread about the weather.  The post from tilly about
the nights being a bit shorter reminded me of my many visits to
Holland.  The midnight sun was a exciting new experience.  Loved It!

What are some of your most exciting vacations?

Oh I wish to have the opportunity to visit Holland!! I have a friend there who has invited me so many times..... I just never get the right moment to go.

For me the best time to have is to spend it at my vacation home in a place called Marloth Park. It is a small conservation for wild animals. I become the best person I can be when I am there.
Just adore it!!
A few pics.....

I love Holland. My favorite is Amsterdam, we go for a lovely weekend trip.
This, however, is my favorite place (one of many!) Ive been quite a few times, although sadly, its not very safe to go at the moment. But ill be back one day!

Cairo

And then a relaxing trip after a few days hustle bustle to the red sea.....

Perfect! :summer2New:

Yes Broomy, they are called the same here, but we don't have any in England. Might find some in a zoo or something, but certainly not wild!
And yes, a micro pig is what I want......but I still think those boars are cute, lol

They are indeed.... though indeed dangerous and unpredictable. But the babies are so sweet. Playing around and being mischievous. I love them too!

anidup and tilly,

What great pictures!  I would love to visit both of these places.

I traveled a lot when I was in my 20s and 30s.  I wanted to see it all.
I still have a few places I would love to see, like the Holy Lands.

I've been to Rome. The architecture and the art - amazing - Loved It!
I would never - ever - want to live there.  I would weight 800 pounds
by now.  The food.  OMG!!!  The food.   Love, Love, Love.

Oh man, when I lived in Germany we had a pack of wild boar that ran around our neighborhood at night. We sometimes took our dog for walks at night (for his evening potty break) and you could hear them running in the woods. I was always afraid the dog might accidentally cross paths with them but he never did (in fact, Spike died happily at a very old age). My friends were friends with the local huntsman and it was his job to kill the boar to keep the population down because they were so destructive. He also sold the meat that he killed, which was very... boarish... and yea, not my favorite thing. Be very happy Tilly that they don't rove around your area!!

I always wanted to go to the Giants Causeway (in Ireland) and in 2011, I was able to finagle a work trip to Ireland and got to tack on a vacation too; It was so lovely and so green.

Here are some photos from my trip

Along the Glens of Atrim

In Portrush

Whitesand Strand (by Portsrush looking at Dunluce castle)

and of course the Giants Causeway!

*Edited: oops my whitesand strand was accidentally mislinked to a picture of my husband, which, while I am quite fond of him was not the picture I wanted!!**

Eronoel,

I need to add Ireland to my very short list of places I still want to visit.

Great pics, it looks like you had a great time.

Broomhilda,

I agree with poppy.  You could pay several gamers to play Sims 2
for you, but it just wouldn't be the same.

I mean, think about it.  Could they possibly ever be able to beat on
the computer as good as you.  I think not.

My poor computer wanted to hide yesterday when I was trying to
download the JFF lot off Garden of Shadows.  So, you see, I know
these things.
