The teaser for the next stuff pack has been released!

You can read more about it here.

It seems a bit more interesting than what was predicted in the picture they released a little earlier.

Backyard Stuff!

It seems that they have now brought out a round table sitting six! After all the struggling I had to get mine working! I may have to update my round table then after this release!!
We have moving stuff and new items with new interactions..... like a waterslide.... yipee!!

Well, again not what I would need for my gameplay, but interesting stuff and at least birds. Maybe the next EP will bring pets then? doggy2

I don't agree! I skipped Sims 3 and all the pets/horses hysteria, so I play without pets and it's fine for me. But EA should get on with it for the community's sake! It's either pets or toddlers to satisfy the players!

It is true.... the producers ask the community for their opinions, just to ignore it completely.
I do not mind either pets or toddlers, other than for the fact that they give players more to do.
I create mostly, so the game play does not bother me that much. but if you want to play the game, you will get bored within a day.

Like the monster under be bed.... done it once.... been there, done that.

I like the game though and would most probably get the stuff pack, if only for the content.

And then we can try to fulfill Miss V's wish to have the water slide in her sims 3 game as well.

I agree anidup! There's simply no challenge! We need more jobs and for example the possibility to accompany teens to their jobs!
And I (or someone else) needs to recolour this coolala lamp! Or I'll need the anti-monster-under-the-bed-mod!

Lol! Ava, I so understand how you feel!
I am wishing for the stairs to be made recolourable and for us to have split-level stairs and even spiral ones.
That would be a super addition to the game for me.

Ava,

I did not know that the community was not creating Sims4 careers.
What a surprise!

Thank goodness they created lots and lots of careers, university majors,
and food items for Sims 2.

Hopefully, some wonderful person will take a look at this.

I myself can't (as toddlers for legalicies and family players) play anymore with pets in ts3 and even though I don't care of pets in the sims 2 , the sims 3 totally changed my mind about them.I don't play with horses I should but I can't because it's already difficult to play with 2 pets and the freetime is short in the game but I play with a doggy and a cat and I love them.
However i can easily play without toddlers even though they are quite important for realism.I rarely use them even though they are cute .Todds and pets gives interesting extra gameplay and it suits a lot of stories.

About the community I am tired of their whim all the time especially on tumblr ,they all turned and switch and exclusively play the sims 4 they are fan of the sims 4 they abdonned oldies for the sims 4, they praise the sims 4  so to me they are totally satisfied by this game ,they should stop, if no todlers no pets they should be happy because that's a game they appreciate and they do without . When a simmer is not okay with the sims 4 like me, we abandonned it , we don't play it anymore and we focus on our oldies until the end or we totally skip it .I just glance at novelties because I want to know how the game evolved and if some items could be converted for the sims 2 and 3 because yes the furniture is pretty.
TS2 and 3 are awesome enough and ts4 doesn't miss me at all.I deleted it I just kept my families because I don't want to loose my creations that's all.

Now they understood we can't help ourselves for getting the game giggle  the sims 4 is a succes so they'll continue in this pathway of simplicity and modernity.Happy or not.Listened or not.Todds and pets or not.Now pray for the amazing modders of the community creates what the gurus did not made yet as casual we are use since the sims 1.(thank you for them by the way)

Oh, Wow!

I purchased the Sims 3 when it came out.  It had so many glitches I decided
I enjoyed my Sims 2 game more.  I, actually, gave it a toss.

The colors on the Sims 4 are beautiful.  And, all the artwork by the community
makes me wonder, if maybe I should try it.

So.  My decision is to wait.  Why not!  I'm enjoying Sims 2 just fine.  And, isn't
the gameplay really the purpose of creating all this wonderful content?

If there is a Sims 5, I'll take a look at that.  Who know it may be great!

Wise decision .Ts3 is not so glitchy at all, I just played around my base game and DA with a hundred of cc and it is smoother than casual , my computer is old like a ruin temple. You have to patch your game and work around to avoid troubles , yes it's tricky even sims 2 is tricky.Nothing is perfect in the sims ts4 has got lovely and awesome furniture .We can't blame everything from this game I admit.I just hate the gameplay it's boring.Make sure I'll test the sims 5 as I tested the sims 4.

I also had the sims 3 and actaully played for quite a while. I gave it a toss since I just could not get used to the shine on absolutely everything!
When pets came out, I was really pleasantly surprised.... I love the gameplay. And I loved the horses, since we did not horses in sims 2 I decided to go with horses in stead of a dog or a cat.
In real life I am quite scared of horses, would not get near one at all! But I just loved going horse riding in the pastures. It was much fun.
MissV though I only have the sims 4 installed currently, I must admit..... there is not much to game play yet. But I love the way the game works, and creating for it is giving me all the satisfaction I currently need.

I know already, should there be a sims 5 I will be the sucker who have the first release pre-ordered! giggle3

I have finally thrown in the towel and moved on to Sims 4. It's not the same and I am really disappointed with the lot set up and the fact that I miss Seasons, Pets and Vacation..crap, I miss them all. But I too, have made my peace and I must say the graphics are beautiful. Wish they'd make better expansions instead of moving ahead to Sims 5. Guess I'll always be way behind everyone else in which games I actively play...lol.

I don't have the kids stuff pack and really don't know if I want it from what I've heard. I have found the stuff packs and expansions still leave a lot to be desired when compared to Sims2 or 3. I keep whining about all the expansions I loved in 2 but from the sound we won't see any of those for 4.:(

Hi Elizabeth,

I believe one of many reasons I have not given Sims 4 a chance is because of the Sims'
appearance with round Disney type faces.  I really like the Sims 2 faces much better.

The community has done a lot of remarkable amount of content which is amazing. Yet,
I'm interested in the gameplay itself. The community can not program the game to
address the missing toddlers for example.

Honeywell's Sims 4 News wrote that there is a new Creative Director, Matt Brown, for the
game.  He has also worked on Sims 2 and Sims 3 as well as Playstation’s God of War 4
and a Blizzard MMO.

So I am now looking forward to the Sims 5 with a new Creative Director at the helm.

Ohhh, maybe it will be okay. I get you in regards to the Disney-like faces and no matter what you can't get away from it. I mostly like to build and decorate (a lot) but I do like to play and that's why I miss Vacation and Seasons and all the rest so much. I really miss pets cause I loved the interaction with them. Pretty depressing overall that they couldn't just stick with the tried and true.
Thanks for responding to me. I love to know what others think and it's good to have the info about the Creative Director.
Thank you so much for sharing!!

I think, it's far easier to create a pretty Sim with Sims 4 than with the other games. Of course you need CC. Couldn't play without!
Here's my Sim Barbara and I think, she looks quite nice and not at all Disney-like, though she's plus size.

Ava,

She's beautiful. Wow!!!

I think I was referring to the general sims in the game not so much the
sims shared by gifted artists in the community.

Does the Sims 4 regenerate new sims when a sim becomes a family
member on a lot like in the Sims 2?

Thanks, I like her too, but didn't play with her and her family so far.

Ava,

You'll be in for a treat.  Any plans for this sim in your game?

As far as the Sims 2 game, I believe the game will make a
new sim for the neighborhood if you move a sim into
a house.  When I had Brandon Lillard marry Tara Kat
he was no longer a townie so the game make a new townie
to take his place to walk around Pleasantview.

I like this feature in the game.  It seems like I remember a
glitch where the game just kept making new sims over and
over which eventually caused the game to crash.  It was
a while back and was fixed with a patch by EA, I believe.

Yes the games indeed generate new sims but not a lot I think.

I very seldomly play with a game generated sim, but I have in the past, and after redoing them a bit with a game cheat and cc they actually looked quite good. I have a family who adopted five children..... and the all came out quite pretty.
I will post a few pics of them when I am home again.

I also had to get used to the new way of play and decorate in sims 4, and was extremely heartbroken since I also had to say goodbye to my most beloved sims 2 families.
But I am fine with that now.... getting to love my sims 4 the same way.
