Lorry Lorry Lorry! I have just spent some time going thru your album and I'm so in awe! Seriously! I normally decorate just for the room I'm staging to preview my sets I make, I hardly ever decorate an entire house from scratch. So your talent is amazing and brilliant and I don't know why you were ever afraid to show off anything you decorate! You do fantastic work and have wonderful eye for using colors and textures that blend perfect!

And I too want everything in your house! You always have so many things I've never seen, and what amazes me most is that you don't have a lot off CC compared to some of us, yet you always have such unique things you decorate with!

And the pantry? My absolute favorite part I think! That was fantastic!

Awwwww TJ amour2  I have tears!  Thank you soooo much buddy

I don't always fully decorate a house.....BUT I generally make a new house for my staging Drama  and I don't know why.  I did learn from my very early days that you just needed a room, but not me, I need  a whole house and that means I have to build one first and then do the landscaping.   pull hair out
Since showing my work here, and getting the support of the wonderful friends I have made, I can post a picture now without feeling like I am going to throw up......eeewww not nice.  Plus I don't decorate the way I think others would like to see, I just do it now.
I liken it to having a phobia......which I have overcome :Spring2

Mind you, I will always look at your pictures with complete and utter envy and wish I could produce something half as good rock

This is my house I built for Anita's Patio Challenge

I was quite pleased with the house, so I added a kitchen

I thought I would come back and carry on decorating.  When I returned, this happened........

I was trying frantically to get my Sim to call the Fire Fighters, but everything was disabled
ohno

R.I.P.   crying

The house is gone, along with the patio and my Sim........lesson learned......always get your Sim to put out any fires before you leave your game  baghead

Awwww, I'm sorry your Sim and house is gone! That's terrible, I've had that happen before too! And it was such a beautiful house too!

Are you going to rebuild it?

Oh nooooo Lorry!!! That happened to me once as well! And the mother of little boy died! It is heartbreaking.
You say you lost the house!! So the fire carried on from your seating to the rest of the house...... oh nooo, it is such a beautiful house. I love the kitchen and would have loved to see what you had planned for the rest of the house.

Judging by how the patio and kitchen turned out I am sure it would have been awesome too!

That is funny in a way..lol..you lost your sim and home..that is sad..

This has happened to me as well..when I was first learning I had a home business and lightening struck a tree and took everyone and everything with it..so now I don't put fences attached to any building..and I use move objects on and put a fire alarm and sprinklers in the trees..that alone will bring the fire department..

I can't believe that the sims would run right to the fire..if your not careful and watch them closely..I had at least a dozen people and family that was lost plus the house, other outer buildings everything..lol..of course I just couldn't just save the game..I went out without saving..

Thank you so much Crissi, it's beautiful

The fire was burning for 3 Sim days, I couldn't be bothered waiting any longer, it was around the back of the house when I gave up trying to save it.
Poor Anye's outdoor seating is toast!

YES TJ, I will probably build the house again.....luckily I could take pictures of the house plan, and I have a cc list.

Sam if I was playing a game that would never have happened, I would have alarms and everything set in place. Because it was a build only, I didn't bother. I knew after I went out of my game that it was a mistake to leave the fire pit burning.

OMG why would a Sim run into the fire....... dontgetit

Bad Sim man, bad! Lorry was building you a beautiful house and you burned it to the ground.  angry The kitchen you managed to decorate was top notch. The food drawers and herb wall is my favorite. I am SO GLAD you over came your phobia (even if you're still working on it!) and started posting your photos here.

I have more where that came from, lol!

Also, I'm back in the debating mode regarding moving, lol...

...this is such a tough decision. I'm not certain I want to spend this much money to make this move.

...especially not to the cold.

Sigh.

Nevertheless, we can have some drinks by Lorry's pool while I think about it! :D

Everyone is welcome and maybe you can all help me come up with pros and cons on moving and staying :D

<3

It's funny when I post my work, I just do it now.......no fear :girlie5:

Awww Suzanne, I feel this is going to be a tough move for you, and it's also very costly, plus the cold weather......doesn't it snow there?
You have a lot to think about sweetie hmmm

Apparently, I missed all the fire stuff and the poor sim meeting Death (shiver!)...

...so if my post seems a bit weird, that is why, lol :D

(...I am not moving, waaaaay too cold for me.)

I love the house for the patio challenge and I'm sad that it was ruined by the fire, Lorry. It is/was gorgeous, as all your builds are <3

...and that kitchen!

---I really need to pay attention to what page the thread is on when I come back to it when I haven't been on the site for a few days, heheheheh

Great idea! Sammy. Alarms in the trees. Are you really moving? I would move back to Boston in a heartbeat. I miss it all. Blizzards and below zero weather. I am retired and I have hot flashes so I'm set!

I was moving, Renee...

(I asked everyone for some pros and cons to help me decide, lol)

...then we really took a deeper look at it.

Between the cold weather and the expense, we decided not to.

So, staying here in Vegas. My oldest and his husband are moving at the beginning of July, but Ben (my youngest) and I are staying :D

Hugs to you, Renee <3

Lorry, This may sound stupid but, would system restore go back to before the fire?

I think that would depend on if Lorry had set a restore point before the fire occurred in her game...

...however, if she had a game save prior to the fire...

...that might be an option :D
