Wishful thinking, I'd say! EA made it quite clear from the beginning, that there's going to be no Sims 5, if Sims 4 won't be a top seller! And they didn't even release all the stuff people are waiting for: terrain tool, weather, animals, toddlers, spiral stairs...

I am surprised to hear about sims 5 too.
But, as long as something makes money..... I guess they might go with it.
If I am not mistaken, the sims 4 was planned (and may be even in the making) while sims 3 packs were still coming out as well.

It must be a very very good game before I will buy it, though.

I had heard that there would be moving things
such as curtains that blow as he window is open
and toys that keep playing if you do not put out
and much more

I thought it would be for sims4
but then I guess for sims5

I do not know! coffeetime

TS5? I am already okay if this is a real sims game with everything we have in the sims 2, plus everything we have in the sims 3 and the sims 4 MOO and some quite interesting gameplay ea shared/will sharing. The 3 game in one .(that work finally on debian based linux system as native too)
In the same time, sorry for being doubtful, I sometimes fear it'll be worst than the sims 4 anbd they'll be able to create a lighter game.

And we need a rivalty game .

Seriously! Why should they work on a new game, as long as we miss crucial things for Sims 4? Sims 5 is gossip.

I think so too, Ava. The creators of the game still have a number of things to attend to for the sims 4.
Would be an absolute shame if they would hop onto designing a new version of the sims while they still have things to do for the sims 4.

I am so with all of you! No way I will spend more of my hard earned money with Origin. Give me back my discs! Give me 2, 3 expansions for 4 but I've heard that won't happen because of the way was set up as a multiplayer and the work involved to have the massive data of what we got on the discs:(

Sometimes it is good not to have a disc but downloadable discs: I recently decided to install my sims 3 game again since I want to give it a go to create stuff for all our sims 3 members.

I lent my discs to my daughter in law a while back. They since moved to a new town, and when they looked for it, could not find it.

I bought the base game again, and when I installed that I found the other that I bought and registered previously are still available. I was quite surprised.

The only game I have ever really been involved with is the sims, but my son tells me a lot of games operates that way now, not only the EA games.

Wow, If the Sims 5 is going to happen. I just hope it's more like the Sims 2. I never bought 3 because I didn't care for their faces. No to play dough.

I've just returned from vacation and had the message in my mailbox, that the German community will not be invited to Gamescom Cologne, because Sims 4 will not be represented there. That means obviously no news about a new EP or anything else! Can't tell you, how disappointed I am! Waiting and hoping and happy to meet other members from the community and now nothing!

I'm actually not that sorry for myself, but for the community who is eagerly waiting for new about a new EP, but there will be no news at all. Very disappointing!

I played the trial version of Sims 4 and didn't like it, so I'd have to do the same with Sims 5 IF there is such a thing. With the kind of animations described above, however, it would have to be a very powerful computer. I can't even afford to buy the kind of computer I would need to play Sims 4. I'll stick with 2 and 3.

Sorry to be so negative, but it's getting kind of ridiculous. dontgetit

Wow, I feel like Sims 4 came out just yesterday. I don't play it but I really do hope that they make Sims 5 a perfect mix of Sims 2 and 3. That would be my dream Sims game. I am for now cautiously optimistic. I'll wait and see before I get too excited.

Simsonian, I do so agree with you! Those two games were the best!
But, I have to love the sims 4 too, since it is currently the only game I decorate for.
Played a little sims 3 but find the switch between sims 3 and sims 4 a bit difficult.

I don't mean to come off as bad mouthing Sims 4 Anidup, sorry if my post came off that way. I simply have never played Sims 4 before so I posted on things I know from experience. From what I can see of Sims 4, I think the sims character designs look a thousand times better then Sims 3. I never liked how they looked in Sims 3. What I would like is for EA to take the best of all the previous games and make a great game. I hope we can get that from the Sims 5.

Simmylicious found an article about Sims 5 and posted it at SimPearls. Here's the link. Not sure, if I understood everything correctly, but it doesn't sound very realistic!
