I finally managed to make my first recolors, claphands1 three paintings and one object and would like to put them up for download but wonder during which concerning categories and what to enter in the description. I understand that I have to specify where the mesh is from (the paintings are from Maxis mesh) I have both mediafire and fileshare and signed up things for members so I know roughly what I should do.
Now for the second question I have Simpe and GIMP, and wondering if there is any tutorial how to do recolor the paintings that are not Maxis. I have not found any good at MTS.
Because I have a feeling that I will be doing a lot of pictures because it was not as difficult as I had imagined and recolors the object, I will also do more.
Hope it was not too messy ch that, according to post what I need help with.

It is just the same to recolour a painting for a mesh that isn't maxis. Except in simple you click open and not start, as you would to find a maxis mesh. Open and then click recolour. The rest is just the same.
To upload your recolour here. You would post it in members creations section: sims 2: recolours.
Well done Marie!

I forgot to start Fraps yesterday and took photos with the C button, but it was so bad pictures so they can not use, so you'll have to wait until after the weekend before it gets any photos.
I hope you will like my pictures because it's nothing fancy but I found some nice posters that I wanted in my game. Need I say where I found them because it is not my own?
I know Tilly asked me before if I wanted to be a creator but I declined at the time but maybe it's time soon when I have learned a little recolor.

Marie, if you used a mesh created by another person, you have to read their policy on sharing. If they say that you may include the mesh, you can indeed do that.
If their policy ask you to not include, you must give a link back to the mesh.

As far as the textures you used go, you will also have to mindful whether the creator has a policy protecting their copyright. I have not yet seen any complaints against that, but if you did not see a policy prohibiting you from using the texture, you only need to mention where you found it, and give credit.

We are all using textures that we found on the internet, and if it is not posted with a copyright sticker to it, you should be safe in using the texture, even without mentioning where you got it.

I hope you followed my explanation, and I am looking forward to see what you come up with.

Anidup: Thanks for the information. I intend to take the already on the user's policy as much as possible and ther is no so we are fully free to use the mesh in the ala cases. If I would have made a mesh, I would of course like to have credit for it.
Broomhilda: Sorry that you have to wait but my grandchildren are going away for a week so I want to spend time with them and my husband will probably be out of jobs almost all week. It was not as difficult as I thought to do custom paintings was very easy.
Poppy100: Thank you very much. I hope you will like my paintings.
Songib67: Thank you so much.
