No not a lake but a river..not sure where..

Am watching the weather and we have a serious storm coming right down I-70 should be here very soon..I hope Terry and everyone is not on I-70...that radar is all red...I am sure someone is watching all this..

Missouri don't teach swimming in school..

I know I had to when I was in school..I do know how to swim enough to keep me from drowning I am just scared to death of water..not sure why..

I'm headed outside to watch this storm and see how fast it's coming in..and to watch the lightening..I love watching that..lol I will be back..may take Shya out for the last time tonight..

Thank you so much Crissi, it's beautiful

Gorgeous new pics Sam! I hope the two of them enjoyed it very much!
I can still remember when my boys came back from their father and son trips they babbled away for hours!!
Lovely memories coming back now.....

Lorry, we too had to learn how to swim at the school's pool. We had no excuse! Up to today I have a slight fear of water. I still do not like to go swimming, irrespective of how hot it is. scared summer02 This is more like me...... summer03 or this...... summer07 definately this!!

My Mum used to call me a fish and I had no fear of the water, until this kid dunked me, I thought I was going to drown.  From that time on I hyper ventilate if I think I'm over my depth.

The ocean is really good if you have a hangover.....when you dive into the beautiful cool water, you instantly feel better giggle
OK I was young, it was the day after New Year crazyspin

LMAO Anita I'll pull up a deck chair and join you summer03
Too many sharks in the ocean now!

Sam: I hope your son and grandchildren had a nice camping trip.
We also learn to swim in school, I said I could not swim so I had to go swimming and I think there were several who did.
My sons did not learn to swim when they said the teacher was too bad and forced them out on the deep part, though I do not know if that's true. But I'm the only one in the family who likes to swim but not in a lake because I do not know what's on the bottom.
I have read all posts for Jamie and he is very happy for all greetings.

Thank you everyone..

Terry came back soaking wet..and am in the process of washing his clothes..and he dropped off Evan so him mom can take him home..and then Terry went back for another night..

He actually got in the river..oh found out that this river runs across I-70 and you can see the campground from the interstate..and it's about 10 minutes West of here..

What a great picture, Sam!

It is sad the storm chased them away from the trip, but it does look like they had a lot of fun!

~~~~
I learned to swim when I was very young... 9 months. There used to be this styrofoam float we called a bubble. It was about the size of a football but shaped more like a short, thick capsule. I was attached to a belt I wore around my waist, heheheheh...
...I was sink proof!
When I was about 3/12, I walked right into the deep end of the pool without it on. I sank straight to the bottom! When my Dad fished me out, I was laughing and wanted to do it again!
Yep... I've been weird my whole life! rofl301
Here is a picture of what they look like today, hehehe
Suzanne - I can remember those!! OMG!! And, I can remember HATING having to wear it too! I learned to swim very early too, we didn't live near water but we went to Florida every year for a couple weeks and always stayed where there was a pool.
But, since I've been an adult, I don't do much "swimming" since I prefer to just get sun and get in to get cooled off (and goodness! Don't get my hair wet!!!! LOL).
But, I can swim ... Never learned how to dive tho. But, I can belly flop with the best of them!
We had some of those as well Suzanne, but the styrofoam part kept on falling out. It did not completely look like those on your picture. So my parents did not trust them so we had to wear the floaties as well... one on each arm.
Suzanne: I can just picture your loving face and body wriggling to get back in the water. You are so full of life!!
TJ: I hate to get my hair wet as well! I look awful with wet hair!!
It really was fun to me f (terrifying for my parents!) when I just walked into the deep end without that bubble...   ohno
These are much newer and way better looking than the one I had! giggle
I don't much care about getting my hair wet - I just have to remember to rinse it out because of the chlorine, lol...  summerB13
...Ocean water, now... getting the salt out is soooo much fun (not).   pull hair out
I also like getting sun, just not too much at one time - I burn FAST!!!  rofl301
It's so nice to learn about you and your family! I always wanted twins girls, I thought that would be so much fun!
But instead, God gave me 3 girls, all 5 years apart! So, I suffered thru teen years  ..... FOR FIFTEEN-FREAKIN' YEARS STRAIGHT!!! One would turn 18 then another would turn 13 that same year, and repeat! Ohhhh the toilet paper, tampons,and hair products we'd go thru!
Gotta love life! lmao
Three girls here as well..... all three of them drama queens!! One son being a brooder and the other always busy with a new project. We had great diversity though!!
But I agree boys are easier than girls!
Oh, My!
Three x teen girls?
15 years running???
TJ... my hat is totally off to you - I have two sons about 3 1/2 years apart and that was difficult, but absolutely nothing compared to three teen girls!
I just remember what I went through as a teenager and, WOW!
You are amazing!!!
Lovely pictures Sam and Marie!
I know how you felt TJ, with teenage girls. I have two step daughters, who moved in with us at ages 14 and 15. They had more issues than Vogue for a while. My daughter was 6 at the time. By the time we got through those teenage years and began to recover, it was Florence's turn, lol. Never had many problems with her though, but she had a much more stable upbringing.
Our new puppies are now home. I've posted some pictures in the other thread.....
Oh, what a wonderful picture, Marie!
Isn't it amazing how little ones can literally fall asleep anywhere, anytime, and in any position?
Lisa - can't wait to see the puppy pictures!
My son was like he could also fall asleep in the most conspicuous places. But Lexie's mom came 20 minutes later and would go home and night her at once.
