Sorry everyone if I don't chat today..having a pity moment.. crying

Finally got new glasses today and was so excited..then realized that these are the same as the last 2..

Found out that they can't do anything and can't give me glasses that are stronger..

I am going legally blind..it may take a few years I hope..but then I won't be on here crying and playing my Sims2.. crying

Let's just hope that it is several more years before this all happens..and I can enjoy all of yours company and play The Sims2..

I know there are a lot of people worse off than me..believe me I have met a few..specially a little girl in Alaska..won't say her name..and she was so adorable and brave..she was born without female or male organs.. and a few other parts missing..I don't even know if she is still alive..she was very sick the last time I seen her..she looked like a girl and acted like a girl..and I fell in love with her the day I met her..she was only 6 years old then..in 2004..and she was always happy when she was feeling good..and those days were far and few between..I used to watch her when her dad was working..when she was sick I would hold her all night in the rock chair..

I know I shouldn't be having a pity moment but I am..

I'm off for the day..so tired and have a major headache..going for a nap..

~hugs and smiles~

Don't go crying on me..for me or for the little girl in Alaska..she was always positive and I am just having a pity moment..

Thank you so much Crissi, it's beautiful

I am so proud of all of you..

Sam,

You know one nice thing about science?  It keep changing.  So, maybe, in a couple years the doctors will come up with a brand new idea and you will be just fine.  The secret is to keep informed on what's happening.  Check out those lens implants.  I do not know the medical name.  But, your doctor will know when you ask about them.

Don't give up hope.

Big Hugs,
Easter01

Thank you Easter :redrose:

I won't go through another surgery..been through to many and and all but 2 went wrong..

I talked to my sister today..and I forgot she is going through a rough time right now..a girl she had stay with her for a couple of years was murdered a couple of weeks ago leaving behind 3 small kids and a mother that is devastated..and not thinking clearly..she even got off the drugs and was trying to change her life..pray she stays off and won't relapse..the funeral is tomorrow..

So like I said before there are people out there worse off than me..

Also me and my sister had a good laugh at my expense thlol saying maybe I won't go totally blind before I'm so old I can't play my Sims2 anymore..runcircle after being upset of not playing it she made me laugh so I am feeling better and not going through my pity mode HappyDay I told her there are people that are still playing all the Sims games in there 60's and 70's and maybe older..she said oh..and then she said well maybe you will be half in your grave before you go blind..ROFL I thought that was funny thlol that is how we talk to each other and it cheers both of us up :Spring2

Oh ya my headache is just about gone..NewY4

Well have Terry's daughter Madysin here this weekend so off to give her a snack before she heads for bed..

~hugs and smiles~

Be back to normal tomorrow I promise feeldaluv

Im so sorry to hear such news Sam. It must be a lot to take in right now.
But like Easter said, take heart a little. My sister-in-law was told she would be going blind in 2 years time. But she is still the same 5 years later......her eyesight hasn't deteriorated much since she was told she would go blind. There is always hope.
Take some time to yourself. We are all your friends and are here for you when you are ready flirty

Marie, Easter and tilly thank you for your kind words:redrose:

Thank you tilly that gives me hope HappyDay

I knew I was going blind years ago..was just hoping it would be later than sooner..I know it not from age it from trauma to the head..won't say a lot on here about that..and it was just a bit of a shock when I finally heard the words..

Headache is gone yippee NewY4 but still feeling a bit sick..I don't get sick very often but when I do omgosh I am down for days..some flowers next door bloomed and omgosh I love the smell of them but these allergies are just about ready to kill me..crazyspin

Years ago I went through a very bad coughing spell from allergies and sinus infections and busted a few blood vessels behind my left eye and that is why I am getting these headaches..never had them much before then..Tylenol 3 is the only thing that will get rid of the headaches but I take them only when I absolutely need them so sometimes I will go a day or 2 before I really need them..but had to take one last night..also got a cup of chicken noodle soup and went to bed..

Watching Harry Potter right now and am about ready to go in and play my game..have to take some pictures so I can get my first part of the story back to normal summerB6

You all will know when I am back to normal cbs

~hugs and smiles everyone~

Aw I'm sorry to hear your under-the-weather. Headaches are a misery to deal with and, of course, all the sad things. And yeah there are others who have different things to go through, but still yours are yours. Not better or worse really (even if mine is a hangnail ;)) And don't give up on tech either - even if you can't do any more surgeries maybe the technology will be good enough to let you play sims with lowered sight. I read about a guy who couldn't talk anymore, hadn't spoken for over 20 years, and they made a computer-like thing to speak for him so he got his voice back. My nephew is deaf and when the internet came about in a lot of ways his world really changed. Best to you - hope you're feeling much better soonest!!!

Hi Sam, sorry for my late reply, but I was not home the weekend.
I feel with you for the bad news about your eyesight.... sometimes it is good to realize what we have and to be super grateful for that.
I too have bad eyesight, but fortunately never got such bad news (yet). I belief too in what easter has said... technology and science are both always on the move, and who knows, in a year or two you will be as good as new.

You know, on a lighter note, when I complain to my husband about my sight, he asks me if I can see the moon at night, so I say yes..... and then he asks me why I would like to see further than that!!
ROFL

I do hope that you will soon be your old self again..... we need your chats! grouphug

Sam, I hope you are feeling better these days. We all hope that you know you are not alone. That's the wonderful thing about being in a community like this. We are all here to support you!

I know how it is with headaches. A few times a year I get migraines so bad I have to leave home and be in a darkened room for the rest of the day. Most other times I have headaches. I'm so used to it now but it's still painful.

Feel better soon friend! summerB4

cherry Sam,
Take care of yourself dearheart. One of the things I love about you is how you tend to live life to the fullest most days. You have a wonderful positive energy about you that reminds me to take things in stride. These things are half the battle for anything truly.  Be mindful and nurturing to your eyes in ways that you can make a difference and maintain those wonderful characteristics about who you are. And remember to do those things you love in relationship to your eyes...enjoying the vision you currently have! And as with most things, you are never alone (especially in that little house of yours always so full of FAMILY). kissing

My hopes for you are that you maintain clarity of vision for the rest of your days. I do believe in miracles and in the power of prayer and well wishes. budhug

Sending a little love your way! inlove34

My dear Sam I am so sorry I missed this thread, I can only say I was so consumed with my upcoming trip, that I wasn't around that much.

I have become so fond of you and regard you as a very special friend, I don't want you not to be around here. I know that is selfish, but I am hoping it will give you the strength to stay positive and be around for many years to come.

I struggle with sore eyes being on the computer so much, it effects my ability to read ( Easter's stories) long threads, I go dizzy and my eyesight goes blurry. I sewed for most of my life, so I am blaming that! If anyone would do a podcast of Easter's stories, I'd be very grateful giggle Cheeky aren't I!

I can see that you have bounced back and that's what I love about you, you pick yourself up very quickly and carry on. rock

then it costs more enegie,
but that does not matter broomie
they know you super '' super love them very much,
and will always be ready for them,

there be very proud of, yesssssss!!! :lilflowers: f :lilflowers:
so give yourself a shoulderpat
