I live in Western Australia, in a suburb about a 30 minute drive from the capitol city of Perth......that is when the freeway is running smoothly.

This park is at the end of my street, I have always loved the entrance to it, but only in summer time.  I will take another photo when the leaves are all out.

Another park I pass on my walk

Going to the beach is something West Australians love to do.  The Indian Ocean is close to many suburbs, so a trip to the beach would be a 30 minute drive.  There was a shark lurking  on the day this photo was taken  angry

My most favourite place to visit and have a meal, Fishing Boat Harbour in Fremantle. The sculpture in the foreground is a tribute to Bonn Scott (AC/DC) who lived in the area

Ah Poppy! Your dollhouse will be very cozy when you are done with it..... and you make the most beautiful furnishings!! When you are done you will have many joyous moments there!

Lorry: I envy you the beautiful parks! And living close to the ocean is a dream of my husband. He loves swimming in the sea too. I do not at all, I like firm ground underneath my feet.... giggle

I live in a place called Secunda in the Mpumalanga Province. The company SASOL has several mines and fabrics here for the extraction of coal and fabrics for among others the production of petrol and diesel.
So you can imagine that there aren't a lot to admire about the area.

Maybe I will add a picture or two of our house and our garden since at least I consider to be quite homey and nice. But, I would have to take the pictures first.....

In the meantime I will enjoy Lorry's lovely home town, and Poppy's new home!

A shark, Lorry!   ohno  I'm glad it wasn't hungry as you look so happy!!!

Anneke! What an adorable place you live in!

I would still love to see pictures, Anita... just look for the parts you love and share them with us (like your garden).

I live in a nice rental home in Las Vegas, Nevada in the US with my sons, Benjamin and Travis, and Travis' fiancé, Mitchell. We also have Lilly, Isis, Amadeus, and Zorro (my service dog and the kitties who raised her).

Here are a few pictures:

Travis (my oldest), Mitchell, and Benjamin (my youngest)

Where I play Sims and what I do when I'm not playing Sims, lol

Lilly, smiling

Just a wonderfully gorgeous sunset from my backyard

Looking down at the Bellagio Fountain from the Eiffel Tower (Vegas!)

Fountain Show at the Bellagio

Naturally 7 Show in Vegas (awesome acapella group - they are the voices AND the instruments!)

Suzanne I must say you live in a most exciting city, that many of us could only dream of. It's so cool to see your family too....do they all live with you? Your pictures are fabulous and you have shown us exactly what I was hoping for, just rooms in your house and neighbourhood.

You know Sam, I was swimming in a different location with the kids, and dolphins were in the area, they swam right up to us, we could almost touch them. I just stood there with tears running down my face, with so much love and respect for these gorgeous mammals.

Alouette I do plan to start a furry critters thread. I've had family animal pics on my desktop since before I went away :minicat: I'll try and start it today!

It is not as tall as the real Eiffel Tower, lol.... if you time going up it right, you can see the entire Bellagio Fountain show (its not long, but it's really cool - the fountains "dance").

Anneke: I love your decor is just my style.
Suzanne: Las Vegas is a place I would really like to go.
Lorry: You look like you live in a paradise.

I thought I would also take some pictures of my surroundings, but you live in the forest, there is most trees as well as my legs would not go out and go as I did as Anneke and took some pictures indoors instead.

My house is over a hundred years old and is bigger than it looks to be.

My view through the window in the kitchen where I have my computer

I love to read books which can be seen quite well

My beloved coffee cup

My pitcher with a portrait of my rabbit

Collecting these small houses

My Russian dolls I have liked to have had them since I was little, and these bought my son when he was in Belarus

And if you live out in the woods, you can find some things I think this has been a raw animal baby once. I brought it home to show my grandchildren to skeleton not dangerous

your funny poppy giggle

I am scared to death of heights..but the first time I went on a plane..I was better when I sat next to the window..it really looks like you are standing still not moving at all..and it beautiful looking down at the mountains with the lakes in the middle of them that you would never see otherwise..and the clouds omgosh they are awesome from above..

Going up and landing is the hardest for me..I just close my eyes and hold my breath a little don't want to pass out thlol

Found the pictures of the dogs in diapers..missing one dog so when John gets home will take a picture of Rock and Daisy outside running..and will take a few pictures of what is around us..not much but apartments, houses and roads lol..

There is a lot next door that the owner tore the house down and that is where we let the dogs go and run a bit..it's hard living in an apartment with 2 big Rottweilers lol..and a Husky, mix..Shya..she can't be turned loose but we have her on a 20 foot lease and let her run that way..and my dog Tiffany goes out poops then back in the house lol..she has really bad allergies..and is allergic to the grass.like am I..I have her on $35.00 a month for her allergy meds and I take cheap Bengali for mine because I can't afford anything more than that..but she is worth it to keep her comfortable..

but I'm just like you
you will do everything to help your dog child
I'm glad it went well, with Tiffany
and I will still try not to let her run loose there, :Spring3

Marie I think your house is so beautiful, I really do envy you. I am guessing that it snows where you are, I would love to see a picture of your house with a snow landscape. And the view from your window onto the verandah is a place I could see all day, it's so incredible beautiful. The trees and landscape are so different here, and I will take some photos.

LOL I showed your house to my daughter and when she saw your bookcase she actually gasped giggle
She is an avid reader, has a book blog on YouTube and her bookcase resembles yours......I will also take a picture to show you
