It's cold here in Canada. I live in a nice house, though I have to live in a more...urban area. kinda violent sometimes. But I still love it here. There's a playground at the bottom of my street. It's nice. giggle

I always think of Canada as a very cold and snowy place Casper.
But I suppose it has a charm of its own nonetheless?
Would be lovely to see a few pictures of the town you stay in.

Same with you, Suzanne! Sorry for the late reply, I'm sick :(

Is Canada as snowy as I think it is? For some reason I have it in my head it's just covered with snow 12/365 lolol

I currently reside in Colorado. I love it here actually its completely different where I'm from. Colorado is beautiful.. mountains, mountains, and more mountains... Scenic view is amazing. People here are alot friendlier. We don't get rain as much as I would like but I wouldnt trade the view for anything.

I can just imagine the view, SimCharleighM. mountains are my favourite too!
WhereI live we don't have mountains, but a few hours drive from here we get into the mountains, which is also the road to our holiday home. There we have huge mountains, lots of bushes and extreme heat.
I just love to be there.

I live in Canada to. It's nice and warm here and the weekend looks like it will shape up well to boot. I love taking the dogs out in the evening, it's shorts and flip flops. I hang onto that outfit until it gets too cold.

Cheers Tony

Positive weather thoughts from me, too, Alouette!

For Vegas, the weather has been getting cooler - but we're still in the high 80s during the day and low 70s at night (80F is 26.6C and 70F is 21.1C).

I'm hoping it cools off more so that I can turn the air conditioner OFF! I think that is part of what has enabled this flu yuck I have giggle

Is there anyone from germany here?
Where i live the weather is kinda gray with some sunny days in between. But because i´m not a summer person i like the gloomy autumn days and the fog over the "Ruhrgebiet", wich is an industrial area around the river "Ruhr" (which translates to "Quiet"). This region used to be the hotspot for mining in germany and is now kinda a melting pot of cultures. My mom and i for example were born in the ukraine and after she met my german dad she decided to move to germany. But as i was just a little kid a define myself as german. But i must say that the german sims community (although its awesome there to) somehow isnt sooo open decor stylewise. Ok "lange rede kurzer sinn" (which roughly translates to: Long speach, short meaning) i like where i live, but i also love to meet new people and cultures. cheerleader

It sounds so interesting, Vlasagne.
We have other threads.... or is it even this one....
where you can post pictures of the place or area where you live.
I for one love to meet new people too, and since we don't have much
of history in South Africa, I love to see the older historical buildings in other countries.
So, if you don't mind... please share some! :loveflower:

I dont have any pictures of my flat in the moment because i am preparing for my finals this year. It looks so chaotic with all the paper lying everywhere.
But i found some cool pictures of sights you could see. I love old factories and the industrial sytle in general.
I am very happy that our cities try all the time to make the region greener. Because with all that industry a long time it wasn´t.

This is a defunct factory, that was used to process coal and is now a big art installtion which lights up at night.

So many museums specialize in the history of the mining industry and i find that its very cool and important that tourists and especially kids can learn what made this place so special. We have quite a few of these shaft towers.

Edit:
Oh something went wrong. I inserted the links to the pictures on imgur, but they wont show up in this post. Did i do something wrong?

I think you have to be a member for a week (something like that) before you'll be able to post pictures...

...in the meantime, you can just paste the image links directly and we'll go look at them, Vlasagne... :D

I live in upstate South Carolina, really close to North Carolina. It's absolutely beautiful here. Depending on which way you're going on the highway, you can see the mountains. The air is clear and crisp. I've only been living in the upstate since April of this year, so I haven't gotten a chance to experience the winters here yet. Most people tell me we get snow, and I'm excited for that.

Before I lived here, I lived about 2 hours away. I lived on the border of South Carolina and Georgia. We didn't get much snow at all there--mostly ice. It's definitely a lot warmer there.
