Thank you Sam! I thought you might like Bella. Her name fit her perfectly; she was so beautiful.  feeldaluv

Alouette naturally I think Bella is just scrumptious and I love her name. Now while I'm not a lover of cats, I think that picture of Hatter is fabulous :minicat:

Lorry, I agree I would have grabbed the chihuahua as well and ran! I had one many years ago, and even won a competition for having the smallest dog. Her name was Jolene, and she was so kind to my son when he was born. They are one-owner dogs and can be quite feisty for such a small dog.... I used to tease and say it is good they are so small for as they had to be as big as they are brave, they would be lions!!laughloud

Anita I didn't know that about chihuahuas, I have always wanted one because they are so cute, but I'd get scared someone would tread on it!

Haha, that is true, Sam..... the one we had slept with us in the bed, and when she decided you are lying too close to her, she just started to kick against your body...and we automatically moved away, leaving the little lady to enjoy her uninterrupted rest! giggle

They are the cutest little animals.... but if you want a companion.... there are great toy dogs out there!

I worked with Show dogs for about 6 months..I loved them..there was a toy poodle puppy there and omgosh..I fell in love with it..it used to follow me around as I was cleaning..I would have gotten her but she costs $1,000 and I didn't have that kind of money..Tiffany is it unless I can talk John out of one of Daisy's and Rock's puppies when they are bred..like Tiffany is going to tolerate that thlol

I have 2 cats and 2 dogs.  I've had pets all my life and can't imagine living without them.  My brothers and several cousins were in 4-H growing up so showed goats, pigs, chickens, etc.  My one brother was in horse shows in 4-H though rode a pony.

Here is another thread I did not see... lol

Here are my babies...

Lilly, my service dog (St. Bernard... small at 105 lbs... she will be 9 in September)

and my kitties, Isis, she will be 11 in November,

Zorro who I think will be 10 around the same time (both are black and white - she's smaller and a bit more dainty),

and Amadeus, 8 in August (all black). He is Isis' grand-nephew.

Thank you, Crissi, for my beautiful signature <3

The hard thing is with working dogs......we ALL want to pet them :Spring3
My son is a cop and his partner (my grandson) is a magnificent German Shepherd. The only time I can interact with him, is when I go over to his place!

LOL it looks like Amadeus is about to pounce on something!
Your babies are all so beautiful......especially Lilly (Huge dog lover!)

Thank you, Lorry :D

The kitties helped me to raise Lilly, so she's very respectful of them.

...Isis likes to tease her. She will sit on the stairs in various locations causing Lilly to stand at the top or the bottom, not moving... Isis does it on purposes, then looks at me as if to say, "What?" when I say her name in exasperation, LOL!

They all share a water bowl, and Lilly will wait patiently or move away for them...

She will also do the same if they decide to eat her kibble...

They lick her, swat at her (thankfully they never use their claws on her; that I would NOT allow - there are limits!), lay on her, lay next to her, walk over, and walk under her.

She will lick them and when the infrequent cat unwisely comes into our backyard, she will run out to their defense with them - they are a pack and I am the Alpha <3

It is both funny and sad and I frequently have to intervene with them on her behalf because they know they have the advantage over her because of her respectful behavior due to her training towards them. Sigh. <3
