cherry     cherry hello cherry's. I show how to make a rose out of clay cherry    cherry

1  cherry Buy a pack of clay

2  cherry cutting off a piece of the corner

3  cherry roll it into a ball

4  cherry Make it flat

5  cherry roll it up loosely

6  cherry then again, cut off a piece and make flat again

7  cherry as this flat piece,,,then you fold it loosely on the roll'''' you can press harder on the edges,, so it will  be thin,'' it is better for the rose

8  cherry and if you go through every time with this,
then you slowly build up your rose,

9  cherry put a small jar down .. to store in your rose '''' always keep repeating the act
and you get a big rose
if you start with a large piece
then you make a big rose
The more clay the greater the rose,

                                  cherry     done     cherry

I have a small piece made for the porch
with a box,, and moss, and some embellishments

Oh Anneke, you are so clever! I love how you made the rose. I might give this a little try when I have some time. I make handmade Bridal Tiaras and would love to make some to set into a tiara! I used to sell them from a shop on Etsy, but had to close it last year as I dont have time. Your roses would sell very well on Etsy!

That's a really clever idea. I'm practicing rolling paper into flowers for the bouquet for my wedding. It takes a lot of patience to get it just right.  giggle3

ohh that's butufful to what you do Tilly
and then you sell it, which makes it really nice that other people will use it,,
you'd be proud of your work, flirty

I want tomorrow to try mushrooms,
and creates a fall bouquet for the table
today I have already bought the paint
if it is dry and then paint
Tilly I hope you try it once, make roses
you will really like it, and maybe get some more things with clay
maybe you can then sell, that would be quite fun,   inlove34

broomie,
I use very cheap clay,
There is also very expensive, but that's for the experts .. haha .. lol
that package I buy costs euro1,95,
which is really cheap
and space you do not need, just a piece of the table
but broomie, it will be nice if you ever could do it,  flirty

Alouette .. yes that could do you, I think,
because clay is too heavy else
because marriage is already heavy ..  giggle  haha lol  BD34
good idea Alouette from yours  aha

maryanne  amour2 , thank you very much

I think it would take a lot of practice (and patience!) for a flower to come as good as your's, Anneke. You must be terribly talented.  :blingbli:

Anneke, does the clay have to dry? Like put it in the oven? How does it keep its shape? The mushrooms look quite real! :Autumn_15:

avalanche ..claphands1
I let it dry at room temprature, normal

but the mushrooms today I dried the room heater,
the stems and the cap of the mushroom, I make separate
when it is dry
Then I stick firmly with the hot glue gun
and it stuck, ready to paint coffeetime

I see. So it has to be dry, before you can paint it.

I thought of bone china/porcelain, where the paint has to be fired. Interesting! I never worked with clay. Once made a table decoration with a brick, roses and moss.

no avalache,, I just do it on the table at home
and let it dry, and then paints and then, let dry,
and then do what you've made of clay,

but I do it almost never,,
but sometimes I think it's fun to do again

that sounds fun that you have made,
I find moss beautiful,
to experience things,
I have with moss there once made it a table cake for Christmas as decoration

This type of clay probably wouldn't need to be fired before painting it. If you were to glaze it maybe. Definitely let it dry before trying to paint it though!

You did a great job at your mushrooms for your first try Anneke! I was decorating my little fairy garden today for Halloween and was thinking your mushrooms would be so cute in a fairy garden.  :goldstar:
