I found this in a magazine and thought it
was so cute written. Although Google Translation
gets a little weird sometimes, I hope you can understand.

A grandma
What is a grandmother?
"A grandmother is a lady
does not have any children of their own and
therefore think about other people
girls and boys. Grannies
have nothing to do.
They are just there.
If they go out and go with
one, they go slowly past all
pretty leaves and caterpillars.
They never say, "someone came
Once "or" hurry up "
For the most part they are thick,
but not too thick to tie
a shoelaces. They can respond
on all matters; "Why hate
dogs and cats to each other "or
"Why is not God married?"
Everyone would try to have a grandmother,
cutting apart those who do not have a TV.

That is sweet Marie

When I found out that I was going to be a grandma I was furious..I was not ready for grandkids or to be a grandma..Renee was 16 and she lost that one..then John, I was even more furious he was 17..Tayshaun was born and I went to the hospital and got to hold him and I knew I was the proudest grandma in the world..and after 8 grandbabies I am still the proudest grandma in the world

That's a very sweet poem.  budhug

Though I do wonder at the translation of "A grandmother is a lady
does not have any children of their own."

And I am thinking the line "Why hate cats and dogs to each other" means to fight like cats and dogs.

Sam: I was a bit more ready than you were, Zandrah was 25 when she gave birth to Jamie and she has decided that she should not have more children. And my sons live alone right now so any more grandchildren will be probably not for a while yet.
Alouette: It gets a little crazy sometimes. It should be: A lady who has no children
And why dogs and cats do not like each other.
Anita and Annke: Thank you.
It is difficult when English is not their first language but we seem to understand each other anyway and I hope you have patience with it.

I was only 19 when I got married..and had Terry almost a month after I turned 20..then 1 month and 1 day short of 2 years I had John then 16 months later had Renee..

I didn't know anything..I mean anything..I didn't know you lost your period when you got pregnant..and I didn't know about morning sickness..nothing..

I grew up very isolated..no tv, just a radio with the radio all I listened to was country music, Paul Harvey, and late at night they had a scary program on..oh let me think what was was called.."Only the Shadow Knows"..and record player..

Wasn't ready for babies..I had no idea how to be a mother..but by the time Tayshaun was born 15 years ago..I was ready for grandkids after I first held him..

I knew quite a bit. I was most happy that I got rid of my sessions and I did not have nausea, I had rather bad blood values. When I got Zandrah so I lost a little blood so when I took the blood test a few days later so they thought there was something wrong on the unit under my blood count was so low that I could not stand on his feet.
I got a sister when I was 9 years old, but I most remember my brother and I thought she was in the way. Then I had a sister when I was 17, but then I had already moved out.
TV had we but at that time there were only two channels and only in the evenings, the radio sent around the clock but there were only 3 stations, and they sent some programs where you could write in and request songs.

Though my husband says to move them as we move there, too. Though I find it hard to believe that it will happen, but you never know.
