Hi,

I just found this tutorial and thought it might be nice to share it here.
I am one for wanting my lot not to appear so flat, so please go have a look HERE

Very informative.

Very cool tutorial, Anita.

I've used similar techniques for some of my builds...

There are also k-hippie terrain and rock default replacements to give a more realistic looking world...

Certainly, Anita :D

Here are a bunch of links - k-hippie is also BlackGryffin on modthesims (you can download all cc from either site, but it can be easier to use the modthesims site than the tumblr site :D )

Zerbu for road replacement textures; also Zerbu has some great interior lighting mods to remove the "blue" :D

Kiwisims has these grass replacements, but is also a site worth exploring for other goodies:

Here is the dani-paradise Autumn mod you've seen me use:

http://dani-paradise.com/2015/07/23/early-autumn-in-the-sims-4/

That site also lists g1g2's cloud replacement link.

There is a great snow mod (search "the sims 4, First Snow mod"). cd97 has great, realistic trees, as well. There is a ton of plant deco out there :)

Have fun downloading :D

Thank you for those links Suzanne, they are fantastic!

Anita I did say to Tilly in another thread, try and build your favourite house from either Sims 2 or 3, gathering as many things as possible, such as windows, doors, walls etc that resemble your chosen house. I found this not only a fun exercise, but was quite surprised that I could get a close resemblance once the build was complete. I now really love building in Sims 4, it's so easy, plus I have done several makeovers and new designs.
