You should definitely check out the ICreate section for our mini challenges, Feline :D

...and, once you're able, make a portfolio to upload your pictures!

You can upload the pictures for the ICreate builds on those specific pages <3

My favorite spot to decorate is definitely the bedroom, especially if it's a bedroom/study space and I can use DIVIDERS. Or if it's a teen's bedroom and I can make a little nook for their friends to hang out in with them. Dual usage rooms, basically.

I CANNOT make kitchens/dining rooms work for me. Same with halls/entrance ways. They never come out right.

I really love doing bedrooms because of clutter!!! Baby/toddler rooms are probably my favorite bedrooms to decorate though.

As soon as you're able, SmileyRiley, please make a portfolio and upload your build pictures!

I'd love to see...

...and I know I'm not the only one! :D

~~~
In fact, if you haven't read through this entire thread, everyone (and I do mean EVERYONE) who hasn't should create a portfolio to show the rest of us what you do with your game...
...I love, love, love looking at what other people do with their sims/builds... :D <3
I can´t decide. hmmm It´s dependent on the style of the lot. Sometimes i have seen an interior shot or someting, and i have a clear idea on the bedroom for example. Then i try to decorate the other rooms around this concept. It´s either a colorscheme or something like that.
My favorite rooms to decorate are the living room and bedrooms! I love to add tons of clutter to coffee tables, desks, dressers, nightstands, etc! I have the most trouble with landscaping, designing gardens and pools isn't my forte.
I really love decorating kitchens and dining rooms! I use override counters/cabinets/fridges/etc that add a lot of slots, plus OMSPs, and just clutter away. And also any sort of study where I can tailor it to the hobbies of the particular sim(s). I'm terribly uncreative when it comes to adult bedrooms, they always come out pretty boring looking, but I have fun with kid and teen rooms, when I play those ages.
You have a challenge in the I-Create section if bedrooms are the think you like.
Why don't you check it out?
Have a look here.
I love decorating in general in TS3 and TS4. I don't have a room that is a favorite, per se but rather I become inspired by an item or how I imagine the sim's personality and likes that I am building or decorating for. Sometimes things can be very tonal based on a particular hue or everything is vibrant and eclectic. I am a terrible builder in TS3 but I do enjoy building in TS4 and sometimes I will renovate a house with a particular design and decor in mind. I am slowly starting to get into clutter in the game so things are transitioning from very clean and open to more "lived in" and personable. I also become inspired by holiday decorating. Autumn is my favorite season so of course I love decking out my sim's home to reflect that.
Cindi - take a walk through Google search - bathrooms. I think you find some spectacular bathrooms to remake in the sims...
...I do that all the time with all types of rooms and styles.
...you will be happily surprised and inspired <3
I prefer living rooms and teenage bedrooms. Full of decorative cc. If I had so much decor in my real house I would freak out with the idea of cleaning it but in the game is a sheer delight!
LOL, Marina, now that is a whole new way of looking at all the clutter in our rooms in the game. It would freak me out too, but you should see my desk when I am planning a new room or creation.
Sometimes that freaks me out!
LOL!
You are so right, Marina!!!
I love clutter but hate dusting, hehehehheh...
...building/decorating in the sims has always been an outlet for me to have and do things I am unable to have and do in real life - I love that you've added another reason (justification?) to my list <3
Probably my first favorite room to decorate is the bathroom. I like to make them a serene place with plants and fountains. My second fave is bedrooms because the can be personalized for each Sim I create. :)
