pcontrol1, I like to do that too! Some houses are quite dull and afterwards, can look quite stunning!

Inés - I've done that, myself...

...I never know how it's going to turn out, but at least it is an interesting way to decorate :D

I love decorating little bedrooms, shabby chic with lots of clutter!

The kitchen! I am always looking for better kitchen counters, though, since we don't have customization in sims 4. But my favorite thing is the kitchen clutter!

What type of kitchen counters would you like to see, Elyn?

As long as you are not adverse to using cc, I may be able to point you in the direction of something you might like...

...there are some truly cool cc kitchen counter/cabinet sets available.

Pictures would help, or description of style and materials :D

Nursery's are my fav to decorate just wish i could find more cc cribs and changing tables! or be able to figure out how to convert sims3 (which seems to have awesome cribs)! I also have an obsession with pillows! I swear i have at least 5,000 in my game! :)

Mabie, I am so with you on having pillows!
The problem with cribs are the animation attached to it..... there are mods out to help with that, but I do not like that so much.
If you are just decorating, then that won't be a problem for you.
SimCredible and Severinka both have awesome xx for Nurseries.

I always seem to start with a kitchen, I have no idea why!
I don't have a favourite room to decorate. I really love doing exteriors, but there is definitely no order in my gardens!

I haven't done a Nursery in such a long time.........reading the comments above me giggle
I think I would need a baby or a toddler Sim to inspire me though

There was a huge explosion of toddler cc when the toddler patch came out, Lorry...

...and even though I don't play with the simmies, I downloaded a ton of it! LOL

Rumham - what part of living rooms pulls you in over other rooms?

I like doing all the rooms and have several 7-8 gigs of CC? I timed my game load and it takes roughly a half hour to pull up. I'm actually planning to upgrade my computer because of my addiction to sims and cc, lol. However, I feel like the odd one out victory My favorite rooms are the nonstandard. I like doing garages, sheds, super secret mad scientist labs. I once created a gypsy family and had loads of fun making the room where the matron did her readings and scrying. The more out of the box the more fun I have.

That's a long load time....LOL for sure you need a new pc!

Oooo 'out of the box'.....I am so boring it's not even funny. I would like to be out there, but it's never gonna happen funny2

I see you found the How Big is Your Mods Folder thread, Melisa...

...if you read it from the beginning, I think I explained in there how to merge cc for ts4 (or at least how to find the links for the process). For 7-8gb, if you merge your cc (not any script files, weather or lighting mods, or whatnot) your game should load in a couple of minutes. :D

I'll go to that thread next, lol :D

I'm happy to see that you like "out of the box" building... I like to create realistic builds, myself :D

...so garages and closets and pantries, etc. are generally all part of mind when called for, lol.

I love to decorate the kitchen first. I always look for houses with a huge kitchen so I can pack it full with custom content!

I do so love to decorate bedrooms. After that it would be living room/family room and study. I often have trouble finding inspiration for other rooms.
