This is a very interesting thread to read! Like a lot of folks here, I love to watch the HGTV programs... especially the Property Brothers! Another favorite is Masters of Flip. I don't watch many primetime television shows regularly but I do also like the Big Bang Theory. I've caught some episodes of Grey's Anatomy and that might be a show I'll have to get into on Netflix some day.

I'll admit that I play World of Warcraft, though I do cut it off in the summer months. I'm a bit of a computer gaming geek. LOL. I also used to play Everquest. And then there is the Sims. My hubby teases me about building so much and not actually playing a character!

I used to write poetry but I've had writers block for years. LOL. A boss of mine from years past suggested that I put all my poetry in a bound booklet, so I did. It helped that I worked in a place that had one of those binding machines so it didn't cost me a thing!

Collecting:

I collect things to do with the Titanic (like plates and books) and I also have an interest in her sister ships. I built a Titanic model once that my uncle gave me and was storing it in a storage room (apartment building) until I could get a glass case. Someone broke into it and broke it! I worked so hard on it :(. I was so heartbroken.

I have a Megalodon tooth and I'd love to start a collection of them! The Megalodon fascinates me for some reason and it's humbling to hold the tooth of something that died out millions of years ago.

That's about all I can think of for now!

Now that is interesting to know, Tracy! My son (when he was still at school, but for the life of me I cannot remember what grade he was in) bought the CD of the film and every book he could find on the Titanic, and he still has all those.

I regret never thinking of buying him a model to build! It would be lovely to see a pic of the model if you would like to share!

When my eldest son was still in school and then university, I played a lot of those warcraft games with him. Not that I particularly liked to, but I just loved being able to do things that he liked with him.

Now his wife has that privilege, and fortunately she loves to do that as well.
The younger son is now an avid collector of old cars, real cars that is..... to the dismay of my husband.... giggle

That is so cool, Lisa <3

I totally get why you paint the way you do, lol :D

You need an outlet for all you take in with your avocation...

...in line with "what goes up, must come down." My version for you, 'what goes in, must get out!' <3

hugss

What is Money for Nothing, Timmer-Man?

Do you have pictures of the jewelry, Victorias? What type/style?

Money for nothing is a program on the BBC. The lady lurks around the dumps and gets 3 things from people that they are throwing away. Then she either gets them made into something totally different or gets to work herself. Made great bags from old carpet, fantastic pillow covers from ugly old curtains.
Then she sells them and brings the profit to the people who dumped the stuff originally.

Now that sounds quite interesting and worthwhile to do. It is nice to know that she gives the money back to the people.

Outside of the Sims, I enjoy reading (often those featuring serial characters like Jack Reacher or Stephanie Plum. I also like to sew. Last year I learned how to knit. My favorite thing to do, however, is spend time with my horse. I can't post pictures of him yet, but I will when I can :-).
