I finally had the chance to take a really good look at all these lovely Black & White Living Room entries!

Wow - these are gorgeous! <3 <3 <3

Mirela - I love the lighting and views outside your windows. I really love the separator you used with the stairs. Great choice of furniture :D

Anneke - Love, love, love the wall mural! What a relaxing and inviting space - I'd be just like Lisa and take a nap <3

Anita - what a neat living room to dig up from your older ts2 builds! You really do like that artist :D

Sam - very cool! I really like that high-backed sofa and those doors! I like that you went ahead and did the entire place in black & white <3

Lorry - you created such an elegant living room! I love your pictures with the sunshine streaming through and the sea views through the windows :D

Marie - I really like the combo living and dining - very modern. I like how it would easily fit into a small build. The black & white eggs in the display case are a great touch! <3

Inés - I really like your style and that there are just touches of green in the build picked up everywhere without overwhelming the black & white. Great entry :D

I'll get to this one, too - My list of build projects is growing, LOL <3

Thank you, Crissi, for my beautiful signature <3

Suzaan: you are quite correct I love all the work and items by Pierro Fornasetti. It is brilliant. Wish I can afford it for my own home.

Inesbend" your entry is stunning! Is it sims 4 or 3? You used beautiful cc! Your contrast between black and white is stunning!

Marie - You have designed a beautiful, light and airy house that doesn't feel weighted down by the dark color! It's fabulous and I absolutely love the bar code painting over the sofa!

Ines - Your house is wonderful! I especially love the lighting you use. It makes it all sort of soft and romantic. And, I like the blend of modern with traditional furniture pieces you've use.

Awesome job girls!

Sam - I thought there used to be invisible lights and invisible windows for TS2. (but, it's been so long since I played, it might have been for TS1 tho) Those work great because it lights up the room without detracting from the look of your room.

Also, maybe just change your games lighting setting to high (if you use it on low or medium to play) that might help too.  But, you also have to remember we're all playing different games, with different monitors, and different graphics cards, so they could make a difference in how you see things too.

And, if all else fails, you could always try to "brighten" them up in photoshop too.

Thank you TJ..
There is CC that has invisible lights and all..I have to refind them..

I can't remember if I have the game lighting on high or not will have to check when I get back in there..

As for Photoshop I don't know how to brighten the pictures up but will try and figure that out..

Right now I just created a guy to go in so I can use the lights..am also going to use him for the B.A.D. Contest lol..

Thank you for all those suggestions.. cutehug

Sam I am smiling..... I do hope you are all going to have fun creting the guys who have to pose in your scenes!! I like this twist in the BAD for this month!
Having a person in a room, even if it is only a sim, gives life to the room.
Having a gorgeous guy in the room, might give us a reason to drool over the pictures!! laughloud

Edit: Sorry cherries I know this is not in the right thread..... but I just could not resist.....

Sam - Oh yes, I always create a "Test Sim" to put on any lot I'm working on to do the lights. That in itself will help alot too.

Lorry, I am laughing over here...

...you walked right into that one giggle

...however, we did know what you were actually saying, I promise! heheheeheh

No worries, Anita - that might be fun as long as the sim did not catch himself on fire trying to light torches! (see my tale in the other thread --- I think it is the DOTY one, LOL)... As long as I can pause the darn game! All you people who actually play sims would have the advantage over me, LOLOLOL!!!

That was funny Lorry rofl301 yep she walked right into that one thlol

What you need to do is make sure your guy stays away from fireplaces if you use one. and candles and anything that might catch on fire..now for me I will be putting him in a corner until I get it finished then set him on the couch or something and make him stay there..take pictures and save before leaving..lol..

Very cool B&W living room, Nikki!

I like the flow and that you managed two different seating areas in your build - and the views are awesome!

All rooms are so beautiful.
Sam: I do nothing with my pictures and I do not use any invisible light either, but I have noticed that there is a big difference if you are using the built-in camera or using a download (Tilly told me about FRAPS) and I am pleased with that too I only have the free version.

Thank you Crissi for the beautiful signature
