WOW! Another new one! It does look fun, for sure! I didn't even know they had one in the works, so tysm for sharing!

I'm still wanting pets & seasons myself tho, so I'm patiently waiting to see if those ever come about.

You know Timmer_man, everytime a new pack comes out, and it is not something I am into, I tell myself I am not going to buy it..... only to do exactly that when it is released. I think I am too scared that I am going to miss something.
I do play the game as well, and that may also be the reason....
But seasons and pets will definitely take the game to a wonderfully new level!
And, please, share with us some of your creations.

If you've been keeping up with the comments in the various blogs (not just here at the official release page), there is code in the game for both pets and seasons (at least it is very probable seasons will come out as an EP after pets).

The consensus in the community is that everyone would prefer EA takes it's time like with Toddlers and Vampires to produce good content and animations, etc. for pets and seasons.

Timmer-Man, I don't believe that we'll ever get terrain tools in ts4 due to the closed lot, flat lot worlds. It would require some major code rewrite to build that back into the game.

I believe it was one of the things that contributed (along with open world) to the serious crashing in ts3.

In another thread, I linked to TMexi's deco terrain pack cc, and 13pumpkins recolors. As deco items, they can be resized, placed off grid, merged into each other, and raised with the 9 key. There are hills and pits, so there is a whole lot that can be done with them depending upon your patience and creativity.

Sims cannot walk on them, so you need to create paths for them; however, plants and other cc can be raised to "sit" upon them. They are really, really fantastic items!

With those links, there is also a link to a mini guide with some suggestions for use. I'm in love with them and have only just begun to figure out how to use them to their best advantage in my builds. :D

I wonder Suzanne, it might be possible to change the flag type in Sims 4 studio to that of a rug rather than a plant or whatever it's cloned from .... they'd walk thru it but then paths wouldn't have to be built, like a snow drift! LOL

Possibly.

I'd have to reread the info on the original post and the guide to recall exactly what it said about the sims not walking through the parts/pieces...

..."Sims can't walk on the terrain objects unfortunately (engine limitation), so be sure to leave paths to anything that sims may need to access."

This is why :D

Suzanne and TJ, I have not worked with those terrain objects, but I do think if is is to be cloned from a rug, and you raise it on your lot, the sims will probably walk through it and not on top of it.
Those cc would work well for builders, but I suppose players will still have to create the paths. But I have seen a few where the paths were actually "built" into the scene quite well.

I will definitely have to try this out one day.

Yes, Anita...

...that is what is suggested. Sims will not walk through these items, but you can place them in ways that sims can walk between and around them :D

This one is kind of "eh" to me.... I'd desperately love a new world to play in with decent sized lots (40 x 40), (50 x 50) etc that has a different theme to the ones we already have, maybe a London/Paris/Italy themed world and an addition of another vacation destination outside of Granite Falls.
