As you all know, I am not a builder beyond the square box with a roof! LOL But, I love to decorate pre-built homes and there's only so many in the game you can make over. After being inspired by so many wonderful houses/rooms people have shared on here, I wanted to just "decorate" for a change instead of creating.

I was especially inspired by Poppy & Lorry's beach houses so I went on a search to find some that was CC free. I found a beautiful beach home by Pralinesims at TSR that was totally CC free! (She actually has quite a few CC free lots, and a lot of them are modern style ones too!)

I prefer to use CC free lots because I don't like my design to be swayed by the builder's interior design idea, so if it's just EA's stuff I almost never even look at it! LOL.

I also came across another site that had lots of CC free lots that looked very nice so I thought I'd share that link for anybody else who may just want to decorate without taking the time to build or for those of you like me, who can't build!

Pralinesims (TSR) Beach House 2 - CC Free

Sims 4 Houses  (I even saw one by our very own Connie which was gorgeous!)

If you know of any more links to sites with TS4 CC Free Lots, please feel free to list them here!

I tend to do CC free lots where possible mainly because I can't always remember what CC I've used and where it came from. I have a small beach house here but other lots at SimPearl.

It's really kind of nice because you get to do whatever you want inside, and for me I'm not being tempted to leave in some of the pretty CC that came with the house if I had downloaded one fully furnished with CC, this way everything besides the building (and landscaping) is my totally my own.

Yes, that's a good point TJ. I'm beginning to like the idea. I've two houses I'm finishing, but for the next one, I just might give it a go.

TJ there is another way and I don't know why I didn't think to tell you this hmmm

Whenever you go to place a house, there is an option for furnished or unfurnished.  If you take the unfurnished option it will take all cc out.

Tilly my brain has been thinking about a new topic called......Stage My House
Not sure how to implement it or even if it will take off, but in real life when selling a home, a lot of people get their houses staged in order to sell.

Food for thought anyway aha

Lorry - I personally think that is a BRILLIANT idea! How fun would that be!

And, I knew about placing unfurnished lots, but the problem is if they happen to use CC landscaping and build items, those I don't mind at all, it's just the actual interior design objects, that I get swayed to leave in, then it's not really a room I decorated, it's a room I changed up LOL. For example, RubyRed used to be my all time favorite builder for TS3, her houses were absolutely amazing, and crammed full of CC and clutter and everything looked perfect, they weren't playable to me tho, I can't have a lot stuff in my way when I want to actually "play", but to look at they rocked! But, I never wanted to change a thing about them so it sort of defeated the purpose of me just wanting to relax and decorate, I would be the same with YOUR houses (well, I'd prob change that green wall in the bedroom! LMAO)

Lorry, that is a brilliant idea.

I was thinking of changing my portfolio to something like "Who lives there...?" and then show the house and the people/sims who live there.
I wanted to do this to get some of my mojo back with regards to creating.

TJ, I like cc free houses as well, but for me it has more to do with keeping track of the cc installed in the game. There are so many conversions by different creators available that you just might end up with ten different folders/files for the same piece of cc.

Anita - I think that's a wonderful idea! I would love to go thru it!
