Oh that sounds like a lot of fun!
When my mother was still alive, she would play when she was feeling up to it.
Now I am the only one......

I first discovered the sims during my childhood! My parents bought me sims 1 for the playstation2, and I would play it constantly, and always inviting others to play with me! Eventually, my sister, best friends, and anyone else I could get to play this game was addicted to it just like I was! I also continued to get other console sims games for years such as sims bustin out, sims 2 and sims 2 pets, and eventually sims 3! :)

It actually wasn't until 2 years ago when I got sims 3 for my computer and discovered what it was like to play with custom content! Now I am addicted to finding custom content, and I can't imagine playing the sims without them now!

You are not alone, Anita! <3

I'm so happy to see so many people who love this game, regardless of version...

...playing only from ts2 on through ts4, many of you began way before I did! LOL

I love all your Story, Girls! So funny rofl301

My Story is totally simple and boring.

It was in November 2000 and I was 24 years old and pregnant with my son. I had to stay at home, because my pregnancy was complicate. I had to relax at home the last 2 month. My husband was at work and I was so bored. I decited to go shopping a bit. And at a computer store I saw Sims 1. I thought that could be cool and had buy it.

After the first 2 hours playing I was totally addicted to Sims...lol.
I played Sims 2 too, when it came out. I missed Sims 3 ( very busy and complicated time ). And yeah...now I play Sims 4 inlove34

Well...I play rarely...most of the time I create stuff, build rooms/houses, download CC and looking for nice patterns/textures for my creations...lol.

Yes, thats it. Boring story, isn't it? ;)

Thank you so much Crissi for the lovely Siggi!

Oh no, Tanja..... not at all!
The sims game has carried many people I know, through difficult times.
And looking for textures, then creating and testing in the game is very fulfilling!

Definitely not boring, Tanja :D

We all started playing sims somewhere, sometime <3

I know that doing what I do (building) keeps me occupied doing something I love - an outlet for creativity and feeling productive.

Without all of you and the game, I think I'd be in a huge world of trouble!

When I was younger I lived down the street from a family with four children. They were all older than me, but because we lived on the same street, I played with them basically every day. As the years went on, we became more like family and we would have sleepovers and such. One night the youngest girl was playing and I was hooked. I literally sat next to her and watched her play until we both fell asleep. That next day, she taught me how to play and I would come over every day after that to play lol. I was about six or seven then, and I'm 22 now. Still play every day!

I saw the Sims 1 at my friend's first. I was around 8-9 years old. I really loved it but back then we had no internet so I only had chance to play when I went to her house. Later my dad bought the Sims 2. My sister and I fought often who's gonna play. I won the most of the time because I'm the older. :D
Now I'm 26 and I really enjoy the game still.

My younger brother recommended the Sims 2 to me. I didn't have a laptop at that time so I had to borrow my mom's, I remember. Sims 2 gave me the motivation to save money and buy my own laptop.

I've been playing since TS1, thanks to a workmate of my brother lending him her basegame disc. Needless to say I was hooked fairly quickly! I bought all of the expansions except Making Magic, and have carried on the tradition with all except TS4. I don't really know why I can't get along with the latest incarnation? It may be because I find the sims' mannerisms a bit annoying - e.g. when reading they look up and smile, and I almost expect them to say Eureka in simlish aha On the other hand it could be the overall look of the game. Having said that I hated TS3 when it was first released, but now I love it as much TS1 and TS2!

Ah that is true, Tanya.... the game does grow on one!
I sometimes do play the sims 3 but find it annoying that all the sims look the same.
Even when I had cc installed to change them.....but, I think I will have to stick to sims 4.
I don't have the energy to get everything installed again to get the sims 2 going.
I never was a builder so the terrain tools do not bother me that much....though I did manage to use it the few times I set out to build a house.

If one is able to play all three (I will NEVER go back to sims 1!) it can only be a lot of fun!
I think TJ is currently doing that and I think she is having a ball!

My babysitter was playing in and I then decided to play it too, I eventually ended up buying all expansion packs! Started at the Sims, I've played Sims 2, 3 and now playing 4~
