I don't know if anybody else is like me, but I get bored eating the same stuff over and over! I need some inspiration or yummilicious recipe ideas to make for dinner!

And, I especially love hearing the kinds of things people in other countries eat, like what is typical for you.

Got any favorite recipes you want to share?

Oh yeahhh ...... I prefer quick and EASY!! LOL

Oh yeah and One more thing ..... I don't do gourmet either! LOL

Here's our family's tried and true, go-to meal...

Tuna Casserole

Ingredients

1 lb Noodles (wide egg noodles are great, but we try for small or medium shell pasta)

1 large can of Albacore Tuna (I prefer Chicken of the Sea, but you can use any tuna, even regular)

1 can Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup (regular sized can; don't use anything else!)

1 can Milk (you can use regular or 2% - I wouldn't go less fat than that)

1 lb Mild Cheddar Cheese (well, any cheese will work - we just like A LOT of it!)

1 tsp to 1 tbsp Mrs. Dash to taste (we used to use 1/4 tsp of salt, but switched to this - I use quite a bit of it, hehe) (you can add more after it is baked)

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees

2. Cook Noodles according to directions on the package.

3. While the noodles are cooking, take a 13 x 9 baking dish (glass or metal) and spray/coat it with something - Pam, or the like (do NOT use olive oil - it will make this dish taste terrible!)

4. Open and drain the tuna (really well) and empty it into the baking dish.

5. Open and empty the Cream of Mushroom into the baking dish.

6. Fill the empty soup can with Milk and empty it into the baking dish.

7. Add Mrs. Dash to taste - we do use about 3-4 shakes into the baking dish.

8. Mix everything up, including breaking up the tuna chunks.

9. Slice your cheese if you are using block cheese - no more than 1/4 inch thick (any thicker and it won't melt properly).

10. By this time, the noodles should be done. Drain them well and add them into the baking dish.

11. Mix the noodles into the tuna/soup/milk/seasoning mixture thoroughly.

12. Cover the entire baking dish with cheese!

13. Bake for 30 minutes, uncovered.

14. Pull out and either serve immediately or wait a few minutes for the casserole to settle.

You can double this recipe easily, but use the Family Sized can of Soup if you do so... too much liquid and the casserole will be loose instead of nicely solid.

This recipe has been used and modified over the years. Definitely use Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup, the original version. We tried a less expensive store brand one time... exactly one time, LOL.

LOL Suzanne! And yesss! I forgot about this! THat is actually one of my kids favorite. I make the exact same thing, only I use cream of chicken soup instead. And, I cut up bread into cubes and put on top before I bake it so it's all crunchy on top

Of all the rooms in my house, the kitchen is the one I frequent less. I do not like to cook, though I do..... we have to eat you know.

This week I am spoiling myself...... we have a lady here who cooks meals and then she delivers it right on the doorstep..... and she is quite cheap. So this week is sorted.Phew!! sweetdance

But, usually I cook on Sundays and the rest of the week we will have casseroles or other light meals. Fridays are hamburger or hotdog days and Saturdays everyone must take care of themselves! Then I am on strike onstrike

When it rains we have my favorite..... pancakes!!

Yum yum. Tuna casserole, I love that. A friend taught me to make your recipe Suzanne, many years ago when I lived in NYC. Ive been making it ever since.
I don't love cooking, but I do it. Its quite complicated in my house: Hubby is a big meat eater, I'm a vegetarian and my daughter is vegan. My favorite is a Moroccan tagine I throw together with chickpeas and spinach, and a halloumi salad. I also love falafel.

Tilly - Have no clue what most of that is (besides chickpeas and spinach! LOL) But, it sounds good ..... and complicated!

Suzanne - I'll put up the Potato Soup recipe a little later. It's super easy, because it uses frozen shredded hashbrown potatoes!! So don't even need to peel potatoes! And, it's probably one of the best potato soups I've had
