Quickie meals at my home include:

Homemade Chicken Alfredo with sautéed Veggies, Sweet Onions, and Mushrooms - we make the sauce from scratch and I can make the full on calorie laden version or a more calorie saving version <3

Hamburger, Rice & Gravy - extra lean Hamburger with sautéed Sweet Onions, Mushrooms, Brown Gravy, and Rice - this is another tried and true comfort dish - easy to make and great for reheating. :)

Marshall Tacos - These are my favorite (my maiden name is Marshall) and they are Amazing!

Ingredients include soft fried corn tortillas, lean hamburger, refried beans, taco salad*, shredded mild cheddar cheese, minced black olives, sour cream, avocados for a treat, and diced onions and hot sauce for those who like spicing things up!

Taco salad is the part that makes these tacos special - Diced tomatoes with a bit of corn oil and salt, shredded iceberg lettuce, and mayonnaise (Best Foods!).

Everyone gets to put whatever it is they like on a tortilla and the tradition is to see how full you can get one and still have it "fly" - i.e., stay together and not make a mess on one's plate! LOL

Meat Pie - which my sons detest, but I love, LOL! It is a meatloaf pie crust with a rice, cheese, tomato sauce filling, topped with more cheese in a 13 x 9 glass baking dish :D

All of these are either really fast to make (even the meat pie because the preparation takes about 7 minutes, lol).

Did I mention that I love to eat (too much!)???

Lorry, I wish you would post some of your meals. I am transitioning at the moment. I don't eat processed foods and make everything at home, but I am trying to cut out more gluten and a few other things. I have medical reasons for my transition that I really think would help with my health.

Grin I'm defrosting chicken breasts,... Lots of chicken herbs, dragon put it in the airfryer and after 10 minutes you can lick your fingers on a yummie piece of chicken and it's even healthy I almost use no fat, just brush it in with a little oil (or like I do: spray)
Then some white mushrooms, onions ... bake them, some patatoes and you have a lovely meal ;)... and not a lot of work ;)

When hubby is home he does most of the cooking and it's awesome, he can make something delicious out of nothing.  We have a lot of fresh vegetables with quinoa and rice noodles, it's so yummy. When hubby is away I mainly just have fish with salad or vegetables. We don't eat any processed foods, and we always check to make sure everything is gluten free.  NO bread, just sourdough, which I love. Some things are difficult to cut out, like chocolate and coffee.
I changed my eating as well due health reasons.

Alouette I know it will help your health.......I had my blood pressure done today and the nurse looked at me and said 'amazing, it's perfect, you are so healthy', and the doctor told me I look younger than my age!  Bring it on ROFL doggy2

Hubby is home next week, so I will see what he comes up with......mostly he makes it up as he goes.......his meals are delicious though eating!
Even the chefs, where he works, eat his creations! LOL he's a regular Betty Crocker, perhaps I should suggest a cookbook thinking

Lorry - WOW chica! You lucked out on finding him! I have never been with a guy who liked to cook! Well, grilling out doesn't count! LOL

Ohhh wait, my last one liked to fix a big breakfast on the weekends and dirty up every single skillet we owned then leave the mess for me to clean up! LOL

LOL TJ he has his moments, definitely likes to run the show, but I just love him to bits!

Oh don't even go there with the mess.........he uses everything in the kitchen!
But I'd rather clean up than cook, so it works out well.

Lorry and Tj: My hubby enjoys making breakfast as well, and then a HUGE one at that......and you know what...... he cleans up everything he used.....except the plates and glasses we used during the breakfast!
He is a neat freak! So I just love it when he decides to do breakfast!

If and when he decides to cook a meal it is same....I only have to do the dishes. He is not a chef, but he can put together a very nice meal if and when (LOL did I say this does not happen very often... laughloud ) he feels likes it.

But.... he is such a dear in so many other aspects.....and I just adore him for that!
Wow.... we were actually talking about food here.....and now I am dishing up my hubby....

Cooking Hubbies, ha ha.
My hubby used to cook, as long as it was a Jamie Oliver recipe, which he would follow to the letter. (I just throw things together, lol)
He has given up now, as he is a meat eater and says he cant do vegetarian food. Hmmmm.
He does make a very good roast dinner though......I just substitute the meat for veggie sausages or a nut roast, lol. And he cant make Yorkshire puddings..nope, I still have to do those!
