What a lovely and inviting home you've made, TJ <3

I can definitely see your style - and why you love to create the sets you do!

How, though, do you keep it so clean with little ones running around?

(One of the things I fell in love with the sims about was being able to have "house beautiful" - and it is another reason I rarely have sims in them, LOL! The sims just mess everything up! heheheheeh)

Your puppies are wonderful and it looks like Daisy has accepted Carter by this point - your picture series of what you see when you look into your bedroom is adorable!

Thank you, Crissi, for my beautiful signature <3

Thank you everybody! I'm happy you liked the tour of my little humble abode.

Suzanne - I keep the house looking like this, because it was a rule when I agreed that my daughter and her family could move in, that the main floor of the house was mine, and it would remain looking like I wanted with no toys or clutter anywhere!  LOL, I want to feel calm, and happy when I walk thru the house.

I lived with toys strung all over when my kids were little, and I don't want to live like that again. So, the boys keep their things in their room and Tasha (who is a serious pack rat and wants to keep everything, keeps her stuff downstairs).

The wicker box by the fireplace in the living I bought for a toy box, the smaller kids play with these toys when they come over, but those are easily hidden away when they leave. And hidden in the built in cabinets are coloring books, crayons, and boxes of legos for whenever they have to do something quietly. Also, they're not allowed on my white sofa! LOL They have to sit on the floor in the living room if they're watching TV. And, they're not allowed to eat or drink anywhere besides the kitchen. I'm mean! LOL

And, yes Daisy is fine with Carter now, although sometimes she's still a big bully when she's feeling feisty and will take all the toys from Carter (I say she's being like Angelika to Chuckie from the Rugrats when she's acting like that! LOL) And he just has this look that says "Mommmmmm! She took my toy!" and she also let it be known from the beginning, that she is the princess and therefore shall eat or drink first! LOL ... He's an obedient and submissive little boy so he sits and waits patiently next to her while she eats and just looks up at her adoringly. He's only 3 1/2 and still loves to play and run around the house and sometimes she'll humor him and chase after him and play too.

I love your "rules," TJ...

...and I don't think you're mean to insist upon them!

Grandparents get to do this sort of thing, lol :D

Both my Grandmothers had a set up like yours - one, in a box, the other in a closet. We never thought it was weird or mean <3

Also, it sounds like Carter has accepted (from the beginning, no less) that Daisy is higher in the pack order than he is. Which is how it should be <3

I know Lilly will wait for the kitties to drink and even nibble on her kibble (do you like that mini rhyme?) when they want to eat it... rofl301

Your home looks like a beautiful Craftsman Bungalow, and you've done a great job with it. Craftsman is my favorite style, and I live in an old Craftsman Four-Square style house. The built-ins are the best. The entire house is great, but I can't get over what a difference you made to the outside. And I love the dog pictures. I can't get enough of dog pictures!

Your house looks lovely TJ, you obviously have an eye for detail and potential in otherwise useless items.

I find it amusing that the children are so tidy with their toys, I have a similar rule in my house my spare bedroom is for the grandchildren (I only have two) and if they bring stuff downstairs they have to take it back up before they go home. However my house is still littered with toys because I have five cats. I have a basket to keep their things in but unlike humans the don't put the stuff back. Also there is often other 'stuff long around that they think of as their toys for example Nellie plays 'fetch' with a hair tie, Poppy loves Macdonalds straws, Nev likes a shiny pink bow that he stole off a birthday gift and Flossie plays with what we affectionally call her 'skanky ball' because well it's all dirty and skanky. My daughter knitted it about five years ago and when a kitten, Flossie found it in her bedroom and has played with it continually for the last two and a half years.

Nikki - How adorable it that! I love when pets find "non-toys" to play with! I too have a doggie toy box, and no ... they don't clean up after themselves at all! And, Carter normally thinks it's a game.

We pick up the toys, he watches
He runs over and drags them back out again
We tell him no, pick them back up, he watches
He proceeds to run back over, grab some and take them to my bedroom this time
And, Repeat LOL

This is where the toys are supposed to live! LOL

Oh, that is too funny! Both of you, Marie & TJ!!!

Lilly never went in for toys, unless my Mom's dog, Charlie, is visiting...

...then she's very interested in playing tug-of-war with him -- which is hysterical, as he weighs 12 pounds!

When I had my other babies, Nitro and Sheba, Lilly would play tug-of-war with Nitro... He was about 75 pounds, so the match was much fairer!

Lilly is very gentle with Charlie, though... she will lay down and just hold on. He runs all around her head trying to get the toy away! LOLOLOL
