TJ...yes that show was on HGTV..what they did was make over a room very expensive..top of the line things..and if the family loved it..they remade over the room with very inexpensive items that look like the expensive items..or as close to it as they could..I am having a brain fart on who it was that hosted that show..and Lorry, Debbie, Melisa and poppy I love, love your rooms..awesome job girls.. :flirty:

Oh wow Melisa I don't know where to begin with your dining room. Your personal style really is showcased here. The yellow wall pulls the whole room together! I'm a sucker for brick walls. I wouldn't have thought of adding in the textured walls you chose. The wide wood planks make the room feel cozy and not over whelming. The pink pops are just right for the shades of yellow and grays. And I actually love the non-traditional colors picked for the instruments! I don't often say I enjoy "darker" rooms but your's is one I'd love to live in. Beautiful job!

Anneke, its great to see you using all of the cc you've been busy recoloring. I found myself nodding along with what TJ wrote about your seamless blend of textures and colors. You really seem to have found your niche in the TS3 world.

Nikki: your pale yellow is just so pretty. I love the damask feel of the wallpaper. The flower photos on the wall make the room!

Nikki, That is a fantastic room :) I love the mix of traditional and modern, like how you mixed and matched the chairs. Those curtains are perfect for the room, and all the plants really tie it together.

Alouette, thank you so much for such a perfect compliment! I'm really glad you liked the room especially since it is not something you typically go for. :) :) :)

Fortunately the mini challenges aren't timed so I'll be here soon! Just trying to figure out a few software issues with the new computer build and then I'll get one of my games up and running!

Melisa, it was my pleasure. I wouldn't really classify your room as "dark" per say, my vocabulary is failing me right now. flyer I may have a dark wall colour but almost always pair it with light colored furniture or vice versa.

Hi! A little while ago I'm exploring the forum and I must say that these mini challenges intrigue me a lot.
Girls your rooms are fantastic, you are all fabulous furnishings, each of you in a different style you have created warm, welcoming, wonderful rooms. f hugsmilie :goldstar:

Since my last house is stopped again, twice I almost finished it, the first one was missing the electric current (big dead somewhere 8 hours without light) and the second went crashing The game I set aside for a moment (I felt like I had a lair on one shoulder) I started a room for this mini challenge. See you soon

hi

As I had written I did the dining room (already that I was actually doing the whole house but I only furnished three rooms at the moment) and I hope to have centered all the requirements.

Walls 60
Rug 145
Table 499
Chairs (6) 312
Sideboard 1 (it is a real price)
Mirror 100
Shelf 200
Curtains 380
Paintings 196
Plants 50
Deco 332
Light 201

Total 2488

Patty - what a splendid mix of old and new!

I love the wood and glass combinations - especially that you've carried them throughout this build.

I really like the orange and green/greenery touches - they really complete this room <3

What a great build!

Patty, is it not amazing what one can do with so little money!
You created a very stylish and yet relaxing dining room.
I too like the blinds, and those dining chairs!
Would you mind sharing where you got it?

Thank you so much for the links!
If you want another design on a dime challenge, then I will upload one for you all to do.
It will be fun to do another.

Edit: I have followed the link to b5-studio, but when I click on his site to read further I get a message that the site is frozen.
Any idea anyone on how to get the chair?
