Excuse me a little stupid question
What is meant by a shelf help counter? Is it a counter with a kettle so you can make some tea or the like.
Google translation does not help.

OMG! I love this one!! This is a fantastic challenge and I love that you gave us a floor plan layout too! But, you know Suzanne will build the entire hotel complete with lobby, restaurant, sauna, and pool area! LOL She better start on hers now!

Marie - Thanks for asking that! I was wanting some clarification on that too.

Marie and TJ, yes, I mean a counter with all the condiments needed to help yourself to coffee tea or something stronger!

TJ, I agree, Suzanne will have a ball with this one I am sure! I myself felt tempted to do more than the floor plan but decided against it!

I have completed my JFF entry and will post it soon.

Ohhhh ... I LOVE contests with a predefined floor plan. claphands1 It´s allways such a challenge to find the best ideas for furnishing and decorating in such a closed frame.

Thank you so much, Anidup - a beautyful idea and a great pleasure for me to join in! loveflower

I like that there is a floor plan it will be the same conditions for everyone.
Should we decorate the balcony and the bathroom as well?
I forgot one thing The doors look like it's 1 tile door but it sits on 2 tile walls it's right.
(The door to the bathroom and the door into the room)
Hope you understand what I mean.

Lorry and Poppy! Thank you so much for the kind comments! It means a lot to me!
I may just get my mojo back!

Yes, Marie, you must decorate the bathroom as well... but the balcony is optional.
You can use any doors for this build.

Ohhh my girls! The pressure is on already! But, I LOVE it!

Anita - Simply beautiful! I immediately got a calm and serene feeling just imagining being it that room! The color pallet you chose is so soft and soothing, you can't help but have a peaceful & restful time when staying there! And, I was actually very surprised and impressed by the fact it's contemporary, I thought for sure yours would have a little more shabby chic feel to it! I loved the heater/AC unit up on the wall! How very original and realistic! And I was planning to do the same thing with the TV over the desk! LOL And, that bathroom is sooooo wonderful! I am a "soak in a hot bubble bath" nightly girl, so I love a calm relaxing bathroom!

Debbie - I loved your design! Those vibrant colors and the wicker bed is so very Mediterranean! I too was tossing around the idea of going with a similar look! I loved that you added a little dining area as well! And how you did your little drinks area was awesome! I loved that! And your bathroom is also one that I could soak for in hours!

You two have outdone yourself! I'm a little nervous to be able to match what you've done!

May I add a door to the hallway? Merely for decorative reasons.... like a door too another hotel room?

Debbie and Melisa you have both entered truly stunning rooms!

Debbie: The please recycle sign is very original. I like the warm orange tones in the room and how you toned it down with the light brown/cream colors. You sure have enough coffee for the guests, and that is definitely right up my alley! The bathroom has a luxurious feel to it! Well done.

Melisa: A beach theme is one of my favorite designs. You have brought out the beachy feeling in this room perfectly! The tour you gave is cute sweet and I enjoyed that a lot. Very original to include an ironing board.... never thought of that! You really gave very good attention to detail. The mints on the pillows ..... another of my favorites.

I see we are again going to have a hard time voting!!

Anita, your entry is gorgeous, so inviting, I love all the patterns. Thank you, not only for your kind comments, but for the contest idea to begin with. I agree with everyone, it was a fantastic idea to have a floor plan on this one.

Anneke, thank you, I can't wait to see your entry. I'm sure it will be just as beautiful as all of your creations are.

Lorry, thank you, I too love seeing your work, you are truly inspiring.

Aww, thank you TJ, so nice of you to say, as your work is always incredible.

Melisa - Your hotel room is amazing! I love the beachy, breezy feel of it! The colors are both inviting and soothing and perfect for a beach hotel rental! I love that you put an entire kitchenette in there! How cool is that! The walls, floors and decor are all so perfect and cohesive for a beach rental without being over the top cheesey! Wonderful job!

I am just now getting to this..have a question..how do we do the floor plan..just count the squares and then remake it..that way..this might be a bit hard having to do a room in a Hotel room..I've never done one of these..have to do some serious thinking on this one lol thinking

Strike the question had to go back..of course you would have the dimensions..good grief what an idiot to not see that the first time around lol.. bored

I do have a question..what are those circles that are in the rooms when you have it up looking down?? and what do you mean by passage..and where are the doors leading into the room??? I'm sorry I'm an idiot lol..

Thank you so much Crissi, it's beautiful

Sam - The circle things are just ceiling lights she put in to light up the room, otherwise we'd not see the grid lines on the floor because it would be too dark. I don't think placing ceiling lights in those positions are a requirement tho, she didn't mention that in the instructions.

The passage, is the hallway outside of the hotel room.

And, the door to the hallway is on the right, in front of the bathroom, almost against the bathroom wall. And the bathroom door is on the left side of the bathroom, if you're looking at it from the view of the pic she took of the floor plan.
