I have been working on the graphics for Sims 3 for so long, and even with a really good card, I still had jagged lines and stretched furniture.

Recently I stumbled across a thread that said you can set your 'in game' graphics to match your card..........say what!!!!!!
I have never ever altered the in game graphics computersmi

I checked this my daughter's fiance who is a computer whizz, and he said I could definitely do this!
My 'in game' graphics was on the lowest setting, I needed the highest facepalm

Wow what a difference.......here are my TEST pics!

These two aren't the best because I was also messing with tweaking pictures  giggle

OMG Chica! These pics are jaw-dropping! Seriously! Look at those beautiful crisp trees! And that gorgeous reflective water (that actually looks like water and isn't some ridiculously exaggerated fake color like most of the water in TS4 is!) and those realistic shadows!

I simply adore the look of TS3! Your game looks beyond amazing!

AND, I just KNEW you would create some breathtaking "gotta have" houses near the water for this game!

I'm president of your fan-club btw!

I can't wait to see more!

Ohhh yeah, are you finding it difficult to decorate in TS3 after TS4? It's little more challenging to clutter things up and I still shake my head at not being able to freely move stuff on the walls, but for the most part, I'm handling it ok.

And, I spent probably 10 days organizing and creating collections so it's easy to find all my various deco items quickly. It has made playing/building/decorating so much more enjoyable now! Before I was overwhelmed and couldn't find anything!

Oh my gosh I haven't laughed so loud in so long! Chica you truly are such an amazing friend, you always make me laugh :amour2:

Totally agree with the decorating issues......I really need the option to make things bigger or smaller, I have to have this giggle
Sims 4 is so much easier than Sims 3, and while I have everything installed, I still gravitate back to 4.

Ohhhh Chica, loveyoumore

Not me, I have not loaded TS4 one time to play, just to test some things I am making for the Spring Theme.

And, as far as enlarging and shrinking ... I have a bunch of OMSPs that resize things in a huge array of sizes, and I found one that stacks so you can pretty much get the right height most of the time, and I could have sworn I found one that says it turns any object into a deco object. I even used it on a wall item so that i could move it where I wanted it, but now I can't figure out which one it was.

I also use the decorator's best friend which helps a bunch too!

For me the good things in TS3 outweighs anything in TS4. Because I love the ability to change the texture on practically everything but paintings and rugs

I do have a question tho.

I finally got my first house built in TS3 so I wanted to wait until that was done, but I'm interested in D/L'ing and installing those world fix files to help with lag. I never realized that Bridgeport was so darn laggy! I knew the Isle Paradise was.

Are they hard to install?

Are you talking about Granthes OMSP?
I think you can alter the size of anything, still not that good with it though, I guess if I spent more time in Sims 3, I would work it out!

Chica for Isla Paradiso I use an empty world, which I found on MTS3 HERE
It is so easy to use and there's not one bit of lag!
You just need to download the save file and place it in your game, leave, then when you go back into your game, there will be an option to enter the empty world,  easy.
The instructions are all in the download link

I have played this world many times with no issues whatsoever.  I can highly recommend it

Ohhhh, so how does it get populated? Do I have to make families and move in? I thought you used this one Isle Paradiso with World Fixes Applied

Yes, I have his OMSP but someone took it further, Granthes I think only went in 25% increments (either larger or smaller), I found some that she did it in 5% increments, so it's awesome to really get that size you want.

And, when I said that one of the OMSP stated it turned anything into a deco object, I was referring to actual wall items, that don't normally snap to a table slot so they wouldn't snap to the OMSP.

But, I was able to get a wall item to snap to a OMSP then raise it up and move it freely where I wanted it on the wall. But you know, now that I'm thinking about it, it might have been because I resized it a smidge smaller first, because the wall I was putting it on had a window near it and the chalkboard was too wide and kept cutting into the window frame. Maybe that's why I was able to get it to snap to the OMSP. I need to test that theory.

But, normally I just use the Decorator's Best Friend to move my wall items around

Okay, Lorry...

...if TJ is President of your Fan Club, then I am the Vice President! LOL

I didn't know you didn't have your game graphics set to High (Ultra is highest in ts4), or I'd have said something...

...I always play on Ultra, so I never thought about it.

Your pictures are amazing! I love how you've gotten everything to look so real, especially in that last image.

TJ - I have All the Water (see my thread on game water/water terrains for the link)...

...I have fallen in love with the Clear color, but I believe that one comes with 29 other colors!

I miss talking with you ladies - skype me, okay? :summerB7:

Awww Suzanne :amour2: too!

I love laughter, and you 2 are cracking me up ROFL

Chica so long as you have story progression enabled, I'm pretty sure the world will populate automatically.

When my Sim was learning how to scuba dive, I noticed there were other Sims around.

During my absence I did actually do some decorating and builds, just to escape from reality.  I found it difficult to focus on one thing, so as you will see, I'm kinda all over the place crazyspin

First up
I found some abandoned houses and made them over

Victorian House

I am really looking forward to decorating this house

Warehouse

Doesn't look much, but I think it will be a great building for game play

I had built a Loft House after being inspired by someone who made one a few years back, but the download link had expired
I did think about trying to replicate that particular build, but then I ended up doing my own thing

Unfortunately I still haven't finished the exterior but I did do some decorating

My next build was going well

I even put  in a laundry!

Andddddd that's it, end of my RUBY house pc2

Now I am on to my next 'adventure', which I have almost had enough of facepalm

Lorry, since the best "positions" are taken, I will resolve to be just a HUGE fan of your work!
I always admire the way you decorate! But when I read you created the first house for sims 3 and you are still tweaking your game for good pics I nearly hard a heart attack.

If you go then I will simply have to follow you!
