It's hard to choose my most missed, but it definitely includes open world, university and seasons. Also the little things, like teaching your teens how to drive.

Wow, there was a lot.

I even enjoyed the fix-it-yourself car from Roaring Heights lol

Here's another vote for the spiral or L-shaped stairs. Most other things, like seasons, I feel confident we will get again, at least for the most part. I do miss the magic collector thing, too. Or was that part of AwesomeMod? I get mixed up. Regardless, I liked having my cats and Dogs collect valuable things for me.

I would like to have beach properties again. It was fun to build homes with bunkies and fire hangouts by the beach. Spiral stair cases are miss too. I also miss being able to place lots any where in the neighbourhood.

Cheers Tony

It has to be a beach for me. I love beach houses and the setting, particularly in Sims 2. I just couldn't bring myself to play Sims 3, the graphics were just too awful. But I really, really, miss a beach in Sims 4. Hopefully we will get the opportunity sometime. And snow. I seriously miss snow....

I miss a lot of stuff from the sims 3, but one of the biggest is the create a world function. I'm just not satisfied with the number of lots they have in each town on sims 4. Maybe if they had more worlds, I'd be happier.

I miss cars and the option to customize patterns and colors of clothing and objects like in the sims 3. I loved that! I could really decorate with that.

I miss Seasons expansion pack a lot, for a million reasons:/ and also laundry that was included in Ambitions expansion pack, hah, all those dirty clothes on the floor and the moodlet for wearing fresh, clean clothes added a whole new level of realism to the game

One of the things I miss most is a small thing, the sprinkler. I hate having to hand water every plant. It takes up so much time. Also I miss having more worlds, but am hopeful they will keep adding with expansion packs.

With sims 4, the things I miss the most are the realistic, less cartoony worlds. I mostly decorate in my game, but I love to have a nice view out the window when I take my pictures, and ts3 always had so much variety. You could make a mountain lodge and have an actual mountain view with lakes and tall trees, or a house right on the beach or out in the water. I miss that so much. And gameplay wise, I miss the feeling of so much going on. I don't know how else to explain it. There was countless things to do, and meaningful interactions. I really love family focused gameplay, and having toddlers has helped to relieve this a bit, but I constantly find myself having to download a pose to stage an action that was actually within ts3's gameplay (like having my sim swing on a swingset?! ugh!). TS4 is such a great design tool, but I will always love ts3 gameplay way more =)

I miss so much of the sims 2 that I gave up playing sims 4 and went back to it. I never had any game crashes with 2 so its all good.
I missed the terrain tools, the total control I had over the not just my sims but the neighbourhood. Sounds bad right? But not really.
I could move a tree that blocked my view of the house, I could choose the right size plot of land for my house, I could live at the beach and SWIM!. I had fishing pools, lakes and just water gardens in every house I chose, I could make the garden move with mounds and dips and after modding 200 plants plant them in the water and on slopes.
It would snow if wanted or not if I wanted to sunbathe :-)
My sims were so unpredictable I had to love them.
The Curious Brothers, my favourite all time sims. x
University, loved this. Every one of my guys had a degree and a lot of fun while getting it.
The fact time stopped when I went to a restaurant, coffee shop, date etc.
I could leave them sleeping, play 6 other families and come back knowing all was how I left it it (sort of)
No phone calls if I decided thay drove me crazy (they did and still do), No visitors, total control thanks to the Bat Box and the Visitor Controller.
Sims 2 best ever sims game :-)

Stairs, in particular these maxis stairs and all the different variations of the spiral stairs. Also creating a staircase, it is possible in TS4 but not as effective.

thinking I'm hoping though that the other things I miss like the beaches, university and seasons will all arrive in expansion packs and maybe even the stairs will. I missed pets and toddlers but have them now (well pets next week). givethumb

Probably if you like Sims 4. there are things that are not the same but for me overall Sims 2 is the better game. Much more thought went into it and to this day the sims I have played for years STILL do do stuff that leaves me saying, "well thats new?". *Blink*

It would be really cool if EA combined all the best parts of ts2, ts3, and ts4 into their planning of ts5 (down the road)...

...I just want a stable game that lets us all have everything we want! <3

There are so many good things in each of the packs I miss, I loved having the curved staircases from Sims1, the online web page where we could download (free) items for Sims 2 and the Vegetable Man, all the CAS options for Sims 3 as well as the world adventures, terrain tools for 2 and 3. I want my ponds back and I need to un-level the lots   giggle
