I do not remember exactly how long but I started with Sims 1 when my daughter bought it and she had all the EP. Then we got sims 2 2004 and since then I have played it or playing are the wrong words I only enter houses, I lost the desire to play when all my houses and sims disappeared by themselves, I have all EP and some SP. I have tried sims 3 but because I do not understand how to download things to it I have been tired.

I thought I was a newbie at Sims..lol..I first seen Sims2 in 2007 started playing in 2008 and was hooked right away..didn't find CC until I think 2010..then it took me about a year to learn how to download it all hehe.
I don't like Sims3 or Sims4..but I do love a lot of the CC that has been created for it..and one of these days will learn how to convert a lot of it for Sims2 lol

Thank you so much Crissi, it's beautiful

For me it started with the Sims 2. A friend of mine had it on his laptop and it was awfully laggy. But we spent hours and hours on that game and when I bought my first PC in 2008 I immediately bought all expansion packs and played for days :D When Sims 3 came out in 2010 I bought it the same day, it arrived in stores here. I had all expansions and stuff packs but it was sooooooo slow, even without CC. I was so happy, when they announced Sims 4, but when I finally got it, I was a bit dissapointed, like many others

The first Sims game I played was SimCity on the Nintendo in 1989. I've played SimCity 2000, SimFarm (1993), SimTower, and I received the Sims (1) in 2000 for my birthday.

HI all I have been playing since Sims 1 which is well over 10 years now. Still loving it and so happy that Sims 2 is still alive in the community. I still think its the best one ever made. I have Sims 3 and 4 too but can't stop playing 2.

I enjoy the sims 4 still a lot, though I do have all my other games still. Oly sims 3 installed on my older computer. On the one I use daily I only have the sims 4 installed.
I think I will forever love this game.

Lorry, I have the sims 3 installed on my older computer. And I have created a new family a few weeks ago, and actually started playng it. Have a dog and live on a boat house on the ocean. My guy likes to go deep sea diving, and has met a mermaid.
But, the game does not run smooth, and it irretates me a lot.
I read that TJ has done some tweaking, but I have n idea what that is about, or how to do it for my game.
I like the dog and the seasons and the ocean a lot though.
But I have only played for about a day and then went back to my sims 4 families.

I have started my new worls (new game actually) to use your houses and others I got from our forum, and then also a few I have built. So I am back to sims 4 full throttle!!

I had to look up when Sims 1 came out because I am way back then (around 2000). I remember back when you had no aging, no separation between tops/bottoms for clothes, etc. Those are the ancient days.

Sims 1 - played with some custom content
Sims 2 - lots of custom content. I used to play fully themed hoods - my favorite was Victorian. I had this witches lot that I loved that looked like a treehouse. I want to recreate it in Sims 4 but we really need functional ladders in the game, not just stairs.
Sims 3 - bought several of the expansions but only played a little. But I loved looking at the new worlds that were created as they were so beautiful.
Sims 4 - back to playing/building full force

gingersnap I never played Sims 1 but my kids loved it!

I didn't really play in Sims 2, because I always seemed to be crashing bored

But Sims 3 was totally different, I played for hours and hours!

Anita regarding the lag in your game.......do you need to clean out caches?
Or perhaps you have overdosed on package files giggle I know if you have too many, it can really slow down your game.

If I do decide to install Sims 3 again, that will take over a week to go through everything, PLUS check out the new downloads.......hmmm I really need to think about this Drama

I only installed two sets, Lorry, with a few hairs and eyes.
But I played with all the packs I have activated.....I played the tropical beach 'hood, but had Pets and Seasons and Generations activated.
Did not yet use the one set I installed since the furniture in the home was not too bad....
cleaning cache..... hmmm never thought of that.

But, for now I am back with sims 4. Still a lot I want to do there.... not yet that bored of the game.....AND I am looking forward to having pets here as well. Will make a final decision after pets.

Wow Anita and you still had lag!

I am really going to give Sims 4 game play a go before I decide whether or not to install Sims 3. I just love Sims 3 play!

BUT, I am still cleaning up and not doing anything really constructive......I think I need a break, not motivated to do much Sim related at all.

That helps, Lorry, but please don't take a break from us.....I would miss you way too much!!
.......I often feel like that, Then I get myself a book, or two which more often than not turns into four or more, and forget all about the sims.
I only log on here to chat and then go back to the book. And before I know it, I feel like doing something again.

I will give the sims 3 a try again.....I might not be having families, I just want this one to reach his LTW, to be a Master diver, and see what happens thereafter.
Not sure yet if I will be able to create in sims 3 the way Poppy does, or how I do in sims4.
I don't think I will ever be able to create for the sims 3...... but one never knows.

First time I played Sims 1. It's a lot of years, 15 or so. I loved it. I played for hours and hours. Then I discover Sims 2 - it's been like revolutionary for me! I liked this one even more and I still do.
Sims 2 is my number one feeldaluv
