I went to ts4 because the game was much more stable, Mia...

...but, then, I build, so all the complaints people have about ts4 generally do not apply to me.

...I do know that lots of creators have made mods that make gameplay more fun in ts4.

...Tumblr is a great place to see that in action :D

I've been playing the Sims since 2004 or earlier. I rarely played the Sims 1 because I was very young and was not into simulation type games yet. A friend introduced Sims 2 to me when I was 13, and 13 years later I am still playing Sims 4 and Sims 3. I also, began to enjoy the console versions on XBOX with The Sims, Bustin Out, and the URbz, I wish they would bring this style of play back as an option with challenge and storyboard modes.

I actually love Sims 4, I enjoy the interactions, multitasking, and the overall art style because custom content can take away the cartoony aspect to make more realism. However, I do feel that there is some vital content that is still missing. But I have hopes that the team will continue to deliver more content this year and next year before a new generation comes about.

I started playing Sims 1 in the early 2000's (though I didn't make any CC for it until 2010) and pretty much have never stopped --

Right now I am playing and creating for Sims 4.. I deleted my website and Simblr -- got really burned out was juggling 2 jobs and had no time for the Sims ... Getting all of my CC from other creators downloaded, game installed, and setting up S4S, GIMP, and Blender so will be making some new things soon ..

Oh my Deestar, I thought your name is just too familiar.
I too went over to your section at Sims 4 Studio.
Your cc is gorgeous, can't believe I have not found it sooner.
I was always fan of your sims 2 cc.

Here is the link for TS2. It has everything I did for Sailfinsims, the few things I made for BPS (I really only did 1 request and 1 CMC for them) and some of my GOS content .. https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/SavingtheSims2_118BlackPearlSims/info

In there under Deestar.. I did not do much for TS3-- I never really got into it -- loved the gameplay -- just hated making content for it since I am mostly a recolorist..

Most of it is lots and recolors -- I do have a few meshes in there -- a Welcome Back Seating, and the Ikea set-- My TS2 meshes are open TOU as far as converting is concerned-- I am honestly not all that into revisiting them for Sims 4 (although I love Sims 1, and 2, and like Sims 3 it is such an effort to find not only all my own old CC but the stuff I had from other creators -esp with Sims 2 Graveyard and CTO down that I will probably not go back to them just redownloading all the CC I had for Sims 4 took a week and I am still testing it in game).. The meshes need a lot of work in terms of UV-Mapping, and adding shadows and slots and I would rather start from scratch with something new .. which I will be doing once I finish getting all my CC installed and tested.. I have 1 recolor set to celebrate Fallout76 planned and then will be working on teaching myself to mesh for Sims 4

Question, Dee...

...do your ts4 recolors (at sims4studio) need the original meshes?

...I ask because I did not see anything about needing them, just the credits :D

I've been playing with the Sims forever - since the Sims 1 was out. No matter what, I think I will continue to play whatever new Sims games come out. It is such a stress reliever for me.

I agree with you Rosanne..Sims games are a huge stress reliever..I tend to control my sims..I have enough drama in real life..lol..and I want to see my sims get to elder and die of natural causes/old age..lol..then I cry..because I miss them.. lol

Yes, Broomhilda, I have enough drama in real life and at work, too.  You are a better person than me by letting your sims age -- I just can't bear to do it. giggle

lol the only drama I have is with that stupid College mascot cow..omgosh so annoying..in the Sims2 dorms you can't put a fence around it so I don't use the dorms..I put all my sims in houses then put a fence around it...now when that cow comes over I open a bit of fence for it to get through and when it is in the back corner of the lot..I then block it in..lol..it then sooner or later dies..then the tombstone is sent to a college cemetery lol..

I don't use nannies anymore either..they are so annoying..and you have no control of them..so back when I was using them..I would wait impatient for the parents to get home then kill off the nanny..lol..then send the tombstone to a NPC cemetery lol..now a days my sim parents stay home until the kids get to teens..

I am a sort of newbie for sims as well..I started playing in 2008 with the Sims2..and still have so much to learn on what is available with it..and I am 57 years old lol..and didn't know about cc until 2009..and it was I think 2010 before I figured out how to download cc lol..

giggle So funny about the cow -- and we are the same age!  I thought I was about the only "seasoned" person that played the sims f
