Me Me Meeeee! *raises hand and jumps up and down excitedly*

Can I go first?

I struggle so much with kitchens! I absolutely HATE THEM! The placement of counters, where and how cabinets should go, how to fit in a fridge to make it look like it is a cohesive part of the layout. It's my Kryptonite!

SOooooo .... I would love to suggest we have some sort of kitchen challenge. I would love it if we had a pre-determined room size and windows/door placement decided for us (just so that I get inspiration on how others design the room).

That sounds like a very good idea, TJ, and as my New Year's gift to you, that is what you will have!
I will do some research tonight and post it as soon as possible.

See how you all also inspire me??

:danceani: :Multistars: happybounce TJ, stop that jumping, we're all going to think you have to go potty! laughing1

But that is a wonderful idea.  I too like having preset rooms, it should be fun to see how much additional build Suzanne would add to the room,   :rofl301:

I'm not sure of the content of all previous challenges, but perhaps a series of remakes on a worn-down house, room by room makeover.

Debbie, as much as I like the idea of renovating, I would not want to add a challenge with that theme here, since Tilly is going to start her Dwelling Space soon, and I do not know yet what surprises she has up her sleeve for us.
Let's wait a while, and if this would not interfere with her contest, I will add a room or two.

@Ranapeach :rofl301: Suzanne would need to build a condominium complex with 5* landscaping, in order to make the build "feel authentic"! Also, I love your reno idea!
@TJ-I struggle with kitchens as well, so am going to attempt this challenge (my first). I am not a good builder or designer, but truly desire to get better, and I figure you cant learn to breaststroke without getting wet so... Great idea btw. And finally, @Anita, ty for the challenge!

Okay... all of you, seriously!

You did this to me over on The Dwelling Space! dontgetit

heheheheeheheh...

...although you are all probably correct, as I do tend to go overboard when I'm inspired! :rofl301:

I always liked the idea of doing a house through time. Everyone has the same house plan for a house built a lone time ago for example Georgian or even older and then it's furnished showing how the house has been lived in and changed over the years.

Nikki we did contest that was a room a month..or something like that..if I remember correctly..

HAHA Suzanne..we are having fun..joking about your reno's and decorating and how long it takes you and how much you add to it..I love it..

Phyllis..you maybe new but you must have been following all of us on the contests to see what Suzanne does lol that's funny..and it is true she would actually build a condominium complex with 5* landscaping :rofl301:

Suzanne, to be honest, I LOVE that you go with your inspiration with all your builds.
It says a lot about you as a person as well..... it is all or nothing.
And your builds are all perfect places.
I would love to see more of that soon!

Suzanne, I will be able to skype during the weekend.
With the new job and getting the office in a better shape, I am dead tired when I get home, and I almost fall asleep at my desk here. laughloud

No worries or rush, Anita.

If this weekend is too soon, it can wait until you really are all settled in.

Here's an idea for you, Anita, how about a "hobby room". It could be any hobby at all, whether a collector, craftsman, musician, whatever!
