I don't want to learn how to mesh yet..but am wanting to learn how to make a picture frame mesh..that's it nothing else right now..

All the tutorials out there for meshing starts off with a table..don't want a table..just a few picture frames lol..

I still want to make picture frames for these kind of pictures.. and haven't been able to find the right ones..so figured if I can learn how to mesh my own picture frames..boy am I really getting ambitious..or maybe just a bit desperate lol..not sure sure..but would love to try..

Or if someone that knows how to do this..can make me some..I would forever be in your debt Love2

Need a tutorial with lots of pictures

Thank you all for your help in advance.. :feeldaluv:

Oh this is for Sims2 please.. spring2018_3

Sam, it is the principles of meshing that you will have to have a look at. It does not matter what you want to mesh, the basic steps will always be the same.
You need to start with something simple, like the paintings in your pictures. Those are basic squares and rectangles.
If you follow the steps, you will in no time grasp the meshing thing.
I do not have the files anymore where I saved the tutorial I had for meshing in sims 2. But if you are able to still find it, you can follow the basic steps.

I do hope you will still find some.

Sam - I agree with Anita. By watching, following, and learning how to make a "table" you can apply that knowledge to making your painting frames.

The actual shape of your mesh is not the issue, you need to learn Blender or some other 3D program to create your mesh. But Blender is the most used program, because it's free.

Even if you're making a simple box you have to learn how the program works to manipulate things to shape it into what you're wanting. You would also need to learn how to "map" or create the UV Map, which determines how and where your texture will be wrapped around the shape of your object. So, that is why watching the tutorials on making a table or anything else they are creating is helpful. It should cover all the things you need to learn about the 3D program and then how to create a UV Map.

You will also need to read tutorials on how to import a "new" mesh into SimPE so that you can apply your texture and save it as a .package file so it will show up in your game.

Conversion tutorials might be helpful to look at for that aspect of it.

I will leave this up for a few more days..then put it as unsolved then..and then I might open it back up at some point..

One step at a time Sam! Look what you have already accomplished with your ability to recolour. I am sure one day you will sit down and master this technique as well.
And then you will sit back and ask yourself why you thought you will not be able to master it!
