Ok, so this is my first time ever sharing anything like this.  You can all blame anidup for suggesting that I show my work, as I don't usually don't.

This is the home of Lucas McKnight.  He is in the Business track.  He is meticulous and loves everything in its place.  This will be noticeable in his home.  Lucas likes Modern/Contemporary Art and his home reflects this.  His home sits on a corner lot adjacent to a park which backs to a river.  The house was constructed with the views in mind.

You can blame me all you want, giggle I am very happy that you opened the portfolio.
The house is fabulous.
I like your idea of the skylight in the bedroom, can just imagine the romantic evening he might have there..... giggle

The pool surround is also very unique. I love the waterfeatures, and can almost hear the calming effect of the running water while lounging around with a book.

Thank you for sharing, your work is lovely.

Trizia:  I honestly don't remember.  I have 24.4 GB of custom content in my Mods folder.  Next time I'm in the game I'll look it up.

Broomhilda:  I don't take offense, but I'm actually male :)  I should have introduced myself better

Next time I am in game I will share one of my other Designs.  They're not always so Modern, but always reflect the sims personality and taste.

Lorry, Thank you for getting that for me.  I would have needed to save the house to my tray and then had to use the Tray Importer and look through all my custom content that I've downloaded.

Broomhilda:  Its no big deal, don't be embarrassed.  I was actually the one to be embarrassed by posting :)  I'm usually really reserved by the way, my name is Matt :) everyone seems to be on a first name basis.  I should probably update my profile!

Thank you all for the great encouraging comments.  You all seemed to love the pool.  While I was building the backyard I thought, you know, my Sim would love to come home from a hard days work and just go out and relax, have a drink, and read a book (and he actually likes to read!).  Heck, if I could, I would have his backyard in a heart beat so I could do just that.

I plan on playing the game tonight, depending on how much time my next batch of custom content takes to merge into the 72 packages.

I hope a good impression :)

So after sorting out the new custom content that I downloaded (a new 1.7GB), I am in the process of merging packages.  I should be able to play tonight.

Oh, Matt! What a wonderful build :D

I just love the shower you created in the master bath - Bravo!!!

I'm always happy to see new portfolios here - it is actually what got me active in the first place, lol!

Seriously, I really like the building style and it does, indeed, reflect the character and personality of Lucas <3

I look forward to many, many more posts from you...

...especially because I like to drool over people's builds :D :D :D

Thank you, Crissi, for my beautiful signature <3

Broomhilda, I wish!

So tonight, I am cleaning up some "not to standards" custom content.  Hopefully I'll be able to pop back into the game after I am done and post some pictures for Lorry.

Hi Matt!
You were asking about some cabinets in my portfolio and I think I  may have given you the incorrect ones that I had actually used

The thing is, Simcredible use the same objects in different sets, so it can be confusing, and when I exported the house, there was no Tray Importer, or at least, I didn't know about it back then.  I used to copy and paste the files that I had used for each build which I hadn't done for this particular lot, PLUS, I had merged the files, which prevented them from showing up in the lot at all.........sounds like a soap opera doesn't it  facepalm

Anyway this is the cabinets I think I used

Nature In

And quite possibly I used a recolour from
HERE

bored   confusing or not!

I appreciate you want to keep your in game CC low, but my advice to you is.....PUT THE WHOLE LOT IN woot

Lorry, the whole lot.  If I kept every single piece I'd never find anything.  I delete items that look funny, for example, a dining chair that looks like the back is leaning forward.  I'd fall out if I had to sit in one :)  I don't delete the whole set, just the chair.  So I have mixed matched stuff, but since I have so much of it, I generally find something that matches the wood or metal pretty well.

Thank you for the Counters.  I'll get those in tonight :)

LOL I also delete objects that look funny, no way would I sit on a wonky chair either!

You will find the counters for both sets are the same along with the tall ones, it's really just the textures may differ.

In between updating my merged packages and installing new custom content, deleting some custom content, and re-categorizing with S4S, I have had some time tonight to take a couple of pictures... Sorry Lorry that it has taken me so long, but alas here we go.

Diana Rhodes would like to introduce herself.  She lives in this beautiful home that was remolded to her liking.  Her Kitchen was expanded to accommodate her baking prowess.  She has  a young cat named Paxton.  Paxton is very loyal and loves to follow Diana all over the place, but on occasion he does like to venture out (and for some odd reason likes to sleep in the middle of the street), but always comes back. Diana owns the South Square Bakery, so when she's not at home trying out new recipes you will find her there cooking away and selling anything sweet that you can dream up.

Without further ado, I present Diana Rhodes and Paxton
