I can't wait to see creations on this one!  I loved collecting stuff in the Sims 3 when they went on vacation, and I'd house them all in a sub-basement.

Matt, now you should head over to the jungle and collect things there! LOL, can not remember the name of the new neighbourhood now...... Al something.

Or you can just "invent" trips and show what you would like your sims to do.

I hope you will enter as well.

I am busy with my room...... is this a dare?

Oh gosh, I dunno.  If I took on a challenge I'd probably need 2 months.  Right now I'm not working so I have more time, but this month is beyond packed with people graduating high school.  Then I am back to work next month, but thinking of trying to get another job.

Yay, I will diffently join this channlenge!
after I have dared to create the Bathroom, I will try this, because a Hobby Room has so many different ways to decorate :)

I have a question, because maybe I understood it wrong:

I thought a Hobby room is a place where you create things, like sewing ( clothes, blankets, pillows etc. ) or a Atelier where you draw your own Pictures, Arts etc. with a room full of color tubes, pencils, brushes, or you do pottery and decorate your hobby room with Vases, Mugs and sculptures etc.

But you mean we have to collect rare stuff in the sims world? Like the jungle Adventure?

I ask just to understand what exactly we have to build :)

Yes, that why I said in the task thread, it is a hobby room with a difference.
The sim (or you for that matter) may like flower pots, or small nick nacks and clutter your home with.
This room is intended to show off things your sims has decided to collect.

Okay, I think I undrestand now :)

Another question:
What about people like me, woh rarely play and never collect stuff for my Sims. Can I say "Okay, my Sim love all about Deco ceramic Sculptures/Plates, or my Sim love all about deco animals, so I clutter the room with a lot of Deco Animals? Or my Sim love everything around Boho Style, so I can clutter the room with feathers, Dreamcatcher and a lot oh colorful Boho Deco?

Sorry for all my questions, but I want to make it right dontgetit baghead thinking

Tanja is right, I rarely even play (or perhaps ever) so I am a little troubled with things they collect.
Unless ... if you use "bb.showhiddenobjects debug" does not everything come out?

Tanja and Patty..yes (you/your sim) can collect anything..and if I am understanding it correctly you can even collect things "you" like/love from the buy mode and put them in the room..am I correct Anita..

I don't usually send my sims off to vacations anymore..to collect things from there..I used to...and I may start again..

You are on the spot everyone...... the idea is about decorating a room not really collecting the stuff.
Tanja you are right, if you like plates, you can collect all the cc necessary for that, and create the room, or boho stuff. So it is actually you who will do the collecting and not the sim.

You are so welcome! Tanja please don't apologize..... if you did not ask I would not have been able to express myself more clearly.
Patty, I am glad you asked, I do not always come across as clear as the picture I see in my mind.

I look forward to see what you will be creating.
I will finish my room this coming weekend.

All pictures are great and on the spot, Tanja, except the last one, since it is for a craft room. I have posted a few inspirational pics with the theme, but these ones will definately assist in getting the mood for the room.
Thank you for adding these, you are a dear.

Thank you all for the detail inquiring and the clarifying of the theme. grouphug

I missunderstood 'hobby' respectively read too fast over the description and started to create a craft room with a show part. glasses
But now I got it (specally with your pictures, TaTschu and your explanation, Anita) and I´m on my way to find the stuff for my new idea ... flyer

Carmen, I adore your entry. And you have touched a soft spot with me. I am collecting miniature furniture in RL, so you can just imagine how I drooled over your entry.
It is stunning!! I am glad you had fun with it.

I am working on my own hobby room, but got a little distracted.
Think I will finish it this weekend.

No hurry Tanja. It will be up for another while yet.

I started to do some recolouring for my hooby room, and then I started with new meshes for our upcoming theme.... so for me too this is on the backburner for another while.

But I do plan to get mine done.
