I live in a small English market town which was mentioned in the Doomsday Book (William the Conqueror, in 1086).
There are lots of very old houses, which have been lovingly restored to make beautiful and unique homes. Of course, these houses are very expensive to buy and are mostly enjoyed by those with a large bank balance, ( :hehe: )This house is based on a real cottage and is currently for sale for £950,000! Phew!

A perfect and romantic location for a couple or small family....

Cuckoo Lane is a small Cottage, found on the main street. Once a blacksmiths cottage, this timber framed house is built in local limestone with lovely bay windows looking out over the cobbled street. The rear of the house was extended in 1890, to make a lovely family home.
