About Me & My TOU
Hi All to my spot
Here is how it all happened for me
I've been playing Sims since The Sims 2 in 2004. My sons got me involved with it, lol
~~~they both started with the original, The Sims!
I started out attempting to play the Simmies themselves, but rapidly found myself interested in building and custom content.
I eagerly awaited the release of The Sims 3 and dove into building with a passion.
I read all the tutorials, then printed them out, and followed them step-by-step, over and over again!
...yes, that was a very interesting time because people didn't always include every step and sometimes I just got plainly lost!
Eventually, it all started making sense to me and I had so much fun building and figuring out how to do what I wanted.
That was when I started trying to recreate real-life floor plans in the game and quickly discovered what a puzzle that could be.
I was awed by the tremendous talent in the community - both ts2 and ts3 - the builders, the tutorial writers, the forum managers, the techie types that could answer everything AND create amazing utility programs to help all of us play with our games and Sims.
Then the real world set in for several years where I went back to college, got my degree, started a Master's and then my old military injury decided it was time to pay me a permanent visit...
...life got really, really real...
...really, really fast.
Fast forward several years of intense physical therapy and I found myself with a whole lot of time on my hands. I read, watched a lot of movies, and talked to a lot of people on the internet and phone in between doctors' visits and surgeries.
As everything settled out, I decided to start building again and this was just about the time that The Sims 4 was being released.
I was really excited about it as I had gotten tired of the constant battle with ts3, the incredibly huge amount of cc I wanted in my game, and an aging computer system.
I refound my love of both cc and building in no time, well after a few adjustments on my part! lol :wohoo:
At first, I was unhappy with the differences...
...but, differences were to be expected and I absolutely adored how stable ts4 was - seemingly no matter how much cc I managed to get into my Mods folder!
Now, a bit over 3 years later, I spend most of my time doing something related to Sims... collecting and organizing new cc or searching out old and difficult to find cc or building homes for fun, contests & challenges, or as gifts back to the community that has embraced the love of the game as I have :buddy:
I had spent many years doing my thing alone - I'd search out cc, sign up for accounts on sites all over the world, click a heart or a thank you and keep on moving.
It wasn't until I became inspired by a contest happening on Bloom/CherryBlossomSims in 2015 that I actually got fully connected with other Simmers.
Bloom has welcomed me with open arms and all the wonderful people who participate in this site have become not just friends, but family to me
I was asked to be the Tech Guru awhile back - I think mainly because I was running around answering questions people had - whether they actually asked them or not
I love to give back what has been given to me - kindness, support, love, and most of all time. I have a lot of it even if it doesn't always feel that way
Thank you to everyone who was here a long time when I first came around...
Thank you to everyone who has stayed a part of our sometimes irascible community
~~~> we really are a family
~~~> one united all over the world by a game
Thank you to everyone who comes in after me - you are beginning a wonderful journey
Suzanne
As for a TOU - You are free to do whatever you would like with my builds.
Except claim them as your own or put them behind paysites.
That means that you are free to use them as they are or renovate them to your heart's content
Please keep in mind, though, I use a lot cc and I work really, really diligently to follow the Creators' TOU's.
That means that the cc is not mine.
If I am able to include cc based on a Creator's TOU, I will. I will still link back to their site.
If a Creator does not allow inclusion, then I will also provide you with a direct link to the cc item/set I've used.
You will not have to run around trying to find things that are a part of my builds
As there are several wonderful creators on this site who have all said that I may include their cc in my builds.
I will & I will let you know who provided what I use
If you ever have a question or comment, please feel free to let me know. I will always do my best to answer or respond as soon as possible.
~~~~~~~
If I've forgotten something, please let me know, lol, and I'll take care of it :rose2:
...and thank you for reading all the way to the end! :rofl301:

:inlove34: dear sweet zsanne
it is a gift for us that you are there
from day 1 that I got to know you, you were immediately a friend to me
and luckily that has always remained that way
we sometimes have our moment on skype that we are laughing about
and that is always so nice
you are a great person, with a warm heart for everyone
I am so happy to have met you
and Ben too of course
I can say so much what you are, and what you mean to me and us
and that's why I keep it short and say to you

Re: About Me & My TOU
Suzanne, I am super excited to have you around as a resident artist.
You have worked so hard in the past on not only your houses, but also on the forum helping our members with all kinds of technicalities.
You deserve your "spot", I am looking forward to see your new houses, and do hope that you will also expand your gracious abilities, and try to recolor this year.
I just know you are going to be amazing at it!
Yes, with this I welcome you to the "inner circle", :bigHugs: :bigsmile:

Re: About Me & My TOU
Thank you, Mimi :D
My portfolio has not been updated in quite awhile - not typical for me, lol...
...I have been building, though - like crazy!
...unfortunately, my laptop meltdown happened at the wrong time during a contest.
...although come to think of it, I don't think there is ever a good time for a computer malfunction! :rofl301:
I'm working on a build for my first as a Resident Designer right now and I still have several others to get back to, heheheheheh
I look forward to being part of this team with you and all of our other spectacular creators - Good times ahead :D <3
